I've been watching a c-drama lately about an official with a very smart female aide/servant. Just a few episodes ago, he says, jokingly, "It's too bad you aren't a man." She replies with something like "Indeed. If I were a man, I could enter the civil service examinations, attain the highest rank, and become an official like yourself. But since I'm a woman, all I can do is make and bring tea and cook."

A little while ago, I stumbled upon this
MV and promptly went *O*. I especially like one of the comments: "The reason my uncle, who usually can't remember actors, remembered him is because it was the first time he had found a male lead who was prettier than most of the accompanying actresses." Trufax. ;o;
What I like about Chinese animanga fora more than English ones: people don't bitch. When I go onto Jojo or Baidu, everyone talks about how Oda has never failed them and that he'll always surprise them, and there are shitloads of
essays and threads devoted to characters competing for the highest number of posts. When I go to AP, all people do is bitch about some failing or other in OP and how Oda is getting worse and worse as OP goes on...which makes me wonder again about the difference in Western and Eastern sensibilities.
What I like about C-dramas: a fixed length so quality doesn't decline from season to season, one to two episodes are broadcast every day, and re-runs of the previous day's episode(s) are broadcast during the day. *O*
