Remember last year, when on the Kazutake (ex-MASK) birthday party event Aioria did a little revival and performed 3 songs? They're doing it again next year on March 5th at Club Citta, for Loop Ash's 10th anniversary and Michiru's birthday.
Hopefully it will be longer than just 3 songs, and not likely, but it'd be awesome if they get to shot it and release it on video somehow. At least a little digest video.
It will probably be the same as last year: Misa, Michiru, Sarino and Kazutake... probably some other guy on drums as support as I don't think Hiroki will be attending.
I'd love to go but there's only a 1% chance I'll be able to go.. if anyone here goes, please write some live reports or something :)

BABYLON - Vault ~Last will~ |
] |
so there's not really any news, but recently I've been listening to some Babylon again in a long time, feels nostalgic :(
case_jigoku , who commented on the post I made about babylon's last live, went to said concert and said he'd be posting the scans of a pamphlet they handed with pictures of the band... let's wait for that :D and thanks Case!
About the ex-members, Misa is still playing guitar for Yoshinori Sugimoto as always, you can see him on Sugimoto's lastest DVD (which came as an extra with his new album, "Alternative"), only some live digest and background footage though. He also uploaded 3 videos from his recent tour on his youtube channel, where you can see Misa playing (although most of it is MC, so it's a bit boring): www.youtube.com/user/FePipeCHANNEL
Don't really know much else about him, seems TEMPLE is still running, as the new Toon-f CD was released under a catalogue number as TMP-02X (cant remember the number). :/
I think ELEFUN LEE didn't become a real band after all... all the members seem to be kind of doing other things. Takuma just made a post today on his blog since september. And I don't think he's doing any musical activity. Same for Haku. Good one always updates his blog with little random entries... he played support drums for the bullet (band produced by Yukiya from kranze, ex-kreis), but I think it was a 1 time only thing. Sae, I think he's a permanent support guitarist for the band uBuGoe.
In one of Takuma's blog entries he talked about his favorite Babylon songs, which seem to be:
空に消えた砂時計 (Sora ni kieta sunadokei) Cherry lover 不夜蝶 (Fuyachou)
he says, despite he's the composer and lyricist of all 3 songs, those really are his favorites.
... hmmm, eh. Not really the best in my opinion (Cherry lover, ugh!), but it's Taku we're talking about. I don't believe the fact they're his songs isn't the reason why they're his favorites, hah. Sora... is a good song though, and I was right about these 2 being Takuma songs as I said in my Soukouya review :P Fuyachou is another "OK" song, I wouldn't place it in my favorite list either, at all.
I think that's all... see ya, sometime.

After reading that Misa still works with Toon-F and possibly The Kiddie, I kind of lost hope about him coming back to action... thought he'd just stay in the back, producing these shitty teen bands forever. But I guess not all hope is lost... I just checked on Yoshinori Sugimoto's blog and it felt so nostalgic to see a picture of his full band again, including Misa! check it here: http://www.ys1126.com/2009/07/post_1123.php
So yeah, Misa is performing again with him. Now checking Yoshinori's blog I also saw he made a post for Misa in his birthday (which was in June 10th, his 33rd), Yoshinori also made a post about BABYLON's last live, he was invited to assist by G1.
So, um... let's hope Misa starts some activity on his own soon!

[ July 2nd, 2009 15:26 ] |
I guess I'll keep posting some stuff here even if BABYLON already ended. At least for a while.
Sae's got a new blog: http://ameblo.jp/sae32/
it's called 「マカロニウエスタン」 ("Macaroni Western".. I approve of the name, haha). And as you can see there, ELEFUN LEE will perform again, with the same line-up as before, at some event in AREA. (I'm positive they will become a full-time band soon). On that same event there will be a Takuma & Kikasa (ex-【FIGURe;】 ) session band... and I do wonder if Kikasa is still in contact with Misa, they are good friends.
About Haku, he will be playing support bass for Moran on the following dates: 7月5日大阪ESAKA MUSE 7月6日名古屋ell.FITS All 7月12日原宿アストロホール So

| last live set-list |
[ June 30th, 2009 3:52 ] |
Sae posted BABYLON's final set-list on his blog: http://ameblo.jp/baby-sae/
1.激情に濡れた夢の名 (Gekijou ni nureta yume no na) 2.華の都、我、散りけり (Hana no miyako, ware, chirikeri) 3.Secret refuge -MC- 4.ドルフィンベル (Dolphin bell) 5.Rhapsody 6.Teddy -MC- 7.sola 8.艶 (Tsuya) 9.喪愛の冬 (Souai no fuyu) -MC- 10.virgin way 11.蒼空と硝年 (Aozora to shounen) 12.Funny play -MC- 13.Lilly 14.螺旋世界 (Rasen Sekai) 15.[S.F.R]mind fucker 16.No no sick 神風 17.Ray
en1 1.空に消えた砂時計 (Sora ni kieta sunadokei) 2.トーキョーデカダンス (Tokyo Decadence) 3.不夜蝶 (Fuyachou)
en2 1.フィーメイル (Female) 2.臥龍 (Garou) x2 3.Gush 4.Unknown
en3 1.Celeb
---
And apparently they played Knot theory as the end SE (probably the instrumental version from the Ms. Crescent Valentine CD)
Since this was supposed to be fan-voted, I was expecting more rare songs, but that looks like the average babylon set-list (with a few exceptions but not too big), also isn't it weird they didn't play In a coop or Leopardess Marry?
So that's it. Farewell Babylon!

| BABYLON has ended. |
[ June 28th, 2009 16:43 ] |
Some hours ago BABYLON finally performed their last live, as I mentioned before no special guests and no final DVD release nor memorial book, just the 4 guys. Haku already posted a final thank you message on his blog, saying it was such a great and moving time, and he wonders what he'll do tomorrow now that there's no babylon anymore. From 2ch comments seems like fans also had a really great time. I think I'm going to watch one of their DVDs today.

BABYLON - Knot theory |
] |
BABYLON will have a last live DVD (apparently, there is not much details about what's going to be on it), that will be distributed for people who pre-order the ticket for the last live, so I guess it's going to be free. I imagine the DVD will be distributed the same day, so I guess it's maybe shots from other gigs, or something. Anyway for now the title seems to be simply "BABYLON The Last TRACKS". As for the memorial book, the title will be 【BABYLON~dearest memories~】, contains 20 all color pages and comes with an extra DVD with live digest, offshot and member comments, the book itself will contain pictures from all 5 years of babylon including the cafe de babylon event that will take place on june 20th, days before the last live. This book will be only able to pre-order at a live event in AREA, on june 4th, and also at the cafe de babylon event, costs 3,500 yen (pricey), there isn't a specified limited number.

I forgot to mention this earlier, maybe some of you might already know...
All of BABYLON's members got an ameba blog now, and the diary section of the site is mainly updated by the staff with news
there's links to all the 4 blogs here: http://www.baby-lon.net/diary.html
also, we all know Sae's a big babylon fantard, but check this out: http://ameblo.jp/baby-sae/entry-10257344556.html http://ameblo.jp/baby-sae/entry-10257336197.html
he still keeps babylon ankettes from 2004!... not that I wouldn't if I had them. I do have a complete babylon flyer collection though to compete against Sae's fantardness, some Staff person posted a San flyer and 2 live passes on the diary (check the may 9th entry).
Changing the topic a bit, Takuma and Sae will be appearing at some uBuGoe live radio broadcast on May 26th, haven't checked it it's possible to listen online for free or not... more info on babylon's OHP.

[ April 27th, 2009 9:23 ] |
BABYLON's first drummer kazuki will be performing as guest at the last live along with Maya and Mikage.
Also they will be selling a special "MEMORIAL BOOK" limited to buy at the last live only.
In other news, ELEFUN LEE will be performig again on the 30th this month, at holiday shinjuku, and they have a new song called "IREaNe", an instrumental sample was uploaded to Sae's myspace. Probably they will drop the "session" status after babylon disbands, me thinks.

| Sae's myspace |
[ April 23rd, 2009 10:56 ] |
Just a few days ago, Sae started a myspace account! check it out: http://www.myspace.com/mysae
he uploaded some babylon songs AND new samples from ELEFUN LEE (the session band I've mentioned before), plus a SE electronic song made by ryouichi (which was also used at the ELEFUN LEE live, apparently). Speaking about the ELEFUN LEE live, they performed 3 original songs (the ones on the myspace) plus 3 covers, 1 by ayumi hamasaki (Sae's a big declared hamasaki fanboy), 1 by RusH and S.F.R by babylon.
here's the detailed set-list plus a picture: http://ameblo.jp/baby-sae/entry-10247893440.html
where's G1's awesome hair? I don't know.
Also about the special event on june 20th, the title is『最後の晩餐~Cafe´ de BABYLON~』("The Last Supper"), and it's going to be at 高田馬場Live Cafe mono, it's going to be a very close and intimate event, with acoustic performance, signature & handshake, etc... kinda like a bigger and longer in-store event, they also promise presents for the people going, and some surprises. The tickets need to be ordered now, deadline is april 26 and can be ordered through a special e-mail address, check the OHP if anyone is in Japan and want to go.
And while everyone's busy with this ELEFUN LEE band, good old Haku keeps talking about babylon on his blog, about the songs which will be performed at the last live and so on. He said he's preparing the programming for Tokyo Decadence and Gokurakuchou wa higashi ni shizumu himself, and it's worried/nervous while doing so (I bet he's cursing Misa right now), also said there will be different arrangements at the live... so yeah, they will perform Gokurakuchou, awesome.

Just got this from the mail magazine:
BABYLON are preparing a "Thanksgiving day" on June 20th, just a few days before their last live. Not sure about what that means, but there will be more information about it soon on the OHP... the mail just says "To show the member's appreciation to all of the fans".
Besides that, in 2 days will be the performance of ELEFUN LEE (the session band of Takuma, Sae and G1, plus Oitsuke, ex-AibeLL), Takuma posted the lyrics for a new song on the diary, called "Like a drag addict" (lol takuma engrish) which will be perfomed at the gig. Meanwhile, it seems Haku moved back to Osaka, his hometown... I hope he forms a new band or something, because he's a talented bass player AND a good songwritter too.

| disbandment comments & anniversary goods |
[ March 29th, 2009 20:14 ] |
all the babylon members had written on the diary about the disbandment finally.
Takuma hinted at future musical activity, so even though he could be old enough to retire, I think we'll be seeing more of taku after babylon. Ryouichi's message, he said something about having made a good choice to join babylon, etc. and Haku said he's proud of babylon and being one of the founding members along with takuma, and thanks the fans, etc.
Sae's message can be read on his blog, he said he met babylon 4 years ago and it surely is a band that changed his life. Sae, I like that lad a lot, hehe... also he's been maintaining the OHP, probably without him, babylon would have just stopped all activities when Misa left. Too sad they couldn't make it, I'm sure Sae wanted to continue. And well, they ask the fans to go to the last live, and mostly project a positive message about it... as in, it's a disbandment but they want it to feel like just another oneman, with the same smiles, etc. I'm sure there'll be a lot of crying (especially takuma lol... and haku).
And well, from now on they still have some live activity until the last live... 2 live events (one is today, "モランコリックvol.7", sold out), another in april 28th and a twoman with Moran on june 4th.
And there's new anniversary goods for sale on the site: http://www.baby-lon.net/goods.html
postcards + stickers, the set is 1,200 yen (probably will be for sale for 1,000 yen at the last live).

So, BABYLON's OHP was updated just now, to announce sad but maybe predictable news.
BABYLON's 5th anniversary oneman on June 28, 2009, will be their last live.
A new sub-title was added to the oneman: ~The last TRACKS~
About the surprise old member... well, seems like ex-members Maya (gt.) and Mikage (dr.) will be there.

just received an urgen news from the babylon mail magazine.
actually, they didn't say what is it, but tomorrow it's going to be published on the website.
they gave a hint though:
"アノ人がワンマンに…!!"
("That one person in the oneman...!!")
My bet is Youki is coming back.
In addition, just want to make a promise: if Misa comes back I'm going to Luján (a place most catholic people go when they make promises is this or that is given by god, I'm not religious but I couldn't think of another place to go).

BABYLON - [不死蝶~CLAN GENEⅡ~] 02. Leopardess Marry |
] |
BABYLON's mail magazine just sent out a request form concerning the 5th anniversary oneman, now fans will be able to vote for the songs performed in it.
Link: form1.fc2.com/form/
You have to enter your name, e-mail, location (the last option is Overseas), age, sex (男性 = male, 女性 = female), the on the first box write the song titles (use the original titles, not romanji, just in case), the second box is the reason why you want them to play these songs... if you don't know japanese try in english I guess, as they have an overseas option. The last 2 boxes are optional and they're to send a message to any member, you can select the name of the member, and there's a 5th option for "old member", which you have to specify who on the last box, and write the message.... cool, isn't it? maybe they're going to let any old member know about the fan's messages.
This oneman might be filmed for a future live DVD; who knows... so vote for your fav songs! (just a little suggestion, if your favorite songs are the most popular ones, like Leopardess Marry, In a coop, Gush, Celeb, etc, don't bother voting for them as they're ALWAYS performed live, and appear in every single DVD almost.... so try to think of another favorite that isn't played so often.)
After you complete everything, another page will show your request, and you need to click on the right button of the page to submit it. and that's it.

Kill=slayd - [HEAT] 10. Libido |

So, the babylon guys haven't mentioned the Misa topic anymore in their diary or anything, and they seem to be all energic about their new-born babylon, but as I thought, Yoshinori Sugimoto is in contact with Misa and he mentioned that on his blog. (http://www.ys1126.com/blog/), if you don't know Yoshinori, he's the ex-Waive guitarist and is an old osaka friend of Misa, also Misa has been doing support guitar for him since 2006.
Anyway, before that, reading on the babylon diary and Sae's blog, it seems they're going to perform some RusH songs with that session band they're doing soon... either that or something else, but they definitely are mentioning about doing RusH songs.
Now about Misa, Sugimoto wrote on feb. 27 that he met Misa and seems like Misa was telling him about some severe, confusing stuff.
Then he just updated his diary again today and gave a little more detail, or so it seems. ( Click here for more about Yoshinori and Misa )
And this could be considered spam, but w/e: Soon I'm going to make some more updates to Misa Shito (misashito.occult-proposal.net), and I thought it'd wouldn't hurt much if I added some releases reviews, of any band Misa was in. So if any of you want to review some babylon or aioria or whatever release, you can submit it to misashito@yahoo.com.ar along with your name, email or website or whatever you want to submit to be credited for the review. I'll be starting by writting a review of Misa's kakuu no hitobito demotape.
