ladyartemisa and so_sporktasticWe are a friends-only community to keep our crazy pregnancy type concerns as private as we can. But feel free to join, read, comment, and post. That is what we are here for.
Before you join, we've got a few RULES to make this an enjoyable experience for everyone.
1)
knocked_ups is for everyone who has had a child, is having a child, or wants to have a child.However, if you're not currently pregnant, we ask that you keep the posts to a minimum. If you've already given birth, aside from a birth story/photo post, please post in the Parenting communities. The only exception to that is if your baby is in the NICU or hospital for a serious health problem, and you would like to post updates and photos.
If you have already given birth and would like to stick around, please do so, but only to offer advice and support for anyone who is currently pregnant.
2) Be nice to each other.
Yes, people will disagree- if people here don't disagree, then something's wrong with the community. That said, name calling and personal attacks are NOT necessary. Saying that something that someone is doing is dumb is ok, but calling someone a "fucking idiot" is not. We are aware that sometimes people get angry and there might be some light debate here, but this is not a debate community. Any conversations here should be about informing others and educating.
3) Do not troll.
Trolls will be hung from their toes and poked with sharp pencils, and probably mocked in
prego_drama.4) Snarking should be done in
prego_drama.Telling someone that what they are doing might not be a good idea is not snarking. If you don't want people to tell you how they feel, then get away from the internet. If you find something in a drama community that you don't like, deal with it there.
5) Personal posts = Personal journal.
As awesome as you may be, we don't care about what you had for dinner last night or how you fought with your mom because you were hormonal. This is a pregnancy community. If your post has absolutely nothing to do with pregnancy, babies, or questions about something like that, don't post it to the community.
6) Photos.
If you're going to post a photo, please post it behind a cut. If it's Not Safe to view at Work (NSFW), please post that.
7) Own your words.
No deleting posts or replies. No freezing threads except by mods. Doing so is a banning offense.
8) Use the tags.
They are there to help you and others.
9) Banhammer!
No spam, no selling, no post/comment deleting, no thread freezing, and no community promotion without mods' permission. Our mod hats are ugly. Don't make us show them.
10) Mod Hat!
Email the mods at knockedupmods@gmail.com with any questions. Do not bring community drama into their personal journals because it will be ignored, deleted, and you will be banned.
We promise to keep on top of the community. We promise to check and respond to e-mails as often as we can. We promise to not go crazy-hormonal on the community. We promise to not post pornographic photos of ourselves on the community, or link to them on the userinfo page. These things have been done in the past, and we refuse to do them here.
