- This is a place for members of the various knitting communities on LiveJournal (and elsewhere) to vent their frustration at the sheer stupidity that often gets posted to those groups.
- We are absolutely not here to cause drama in other communities. This is why posts to the community default to being friends-locked.

knitting_snark is: Don't be an asshole. - The second rule of knitting_snark is: Don't be an asshole.
- Anyone and everyone is fair game, including members of this community. The idea is that if you want to dish it out, you need to be able to take it as well.
- If you see something snarked here, that means all snarking needs to stay here. No going back to the original post and stirring up trouble. Or privately emailing someone to tell them that they’ve been snarked. Or making anonymous comments. You get the idea.*
- Personal attacks and harassment of snarkees will not be tolerated. Yes, some people get snarked a lot. No, that doesn’t mean it’s okay to say that they’re ugly and smell funny. Do your best to keep the snark to the object or behavior in question.
- Rules violations will be dealt with at the moderators’ discretion. Sometimes, the warning will be gentle. Sometimes, the warning might be stern. Sometimes, the mods might tell you to shape up or else. Or, you might get the ban hammer instead of a warning. Depends on our mood that day.
- Trolls will be cheerfully stomped upon. Stompy stomp stomp.
