Blocking Chunky Baby Alpaca question
I just finished a long, plain shawl (25” x 72”, k3p3 modified seed stitch, 57 stitches on Size 13 needles) using five 108-yard skeins of Cascade Chunky Baby Alpaca in the Forest Paint. I’m planning on blocking it on the porch floor on a blanket.

Are there any alpaca quirks I need to be aware of? Does it absolutely have to be pinned, or is it safe to just shape it and let it dry?

:)

no alpaca quirks. just pat it into shape and let it dry. the way i see it, you only need to use pins if you're trying to achieve a really radical shape change.

(i love that yarn! it's gorgeous! i bet your shawl will be really warm and nice!)

Thank you! I feel brave enough to do it, now. I love the yarn, too. It's going to be very snuggly. :)
