Yarn, needles, and books for swap
In an attempt to semi-destash, and swap out things I won't use for things I will, I present stuff from handpaintedyarn.com, Plymouth, Katia, Olive Homespun by the box, as well as several books and needles all under the cut.

YARN:

1 - 3 skeins (1560 yards total) handpaintedyarn.com handpainted buotone 100% wool yarn in Pocitos colorway:

Retails for $42.00, three are new in their plastic, the other three are new, not in plastic, but still in their skeins. I love this yarn, but cannot for the life of me figure out a use that would do justice for it's beautiful texture and colors. 3 were taken, 3 still available

2 - 3 balls Plymouth Dreambaby DK - 50% acrylic microfiber, 50% nylon, DK weight, color #127, sage green - 183 yards/ball, 549 yards total (paid $11.97 for these three):

3 - 1 skein Plymouth Outback Wool, 100% virgin wool, color 959, 374 yards (paid $16.99) TAKEN

4 - 1 skein Plymouth Galway worsted, 100% wool, color 117, 210 yards (paid $6.95)

The above look gorgeous together, though their gauges are slightly different (the Outback is 4 stitches/inch on 8's, the Galway is 5 stitches/inch on 8's).

5 - 7 skeins Katia Diana, 50% acrylic, 19% nylon, 18% rayon and 13% angora, color 5 (black), 110 yards/ball, 770 yards total (paid $48.65 for these):

TAKEN

6 - 11+ skeins Lion Brand Homespun in olive green (using weight to yardage calculations, there's roughly a bit more than 2000 yards here). Bought these on ebay as a lot of 12 last winter, used a little more than half of one skein, and just cannot work with this yarn due to issues with my hands/fingers/joints. It's all the same dye lot, and there's more than enough for a sweater or blanket. I paid somewhere around $30 for this lot.

NEEDLES:

Clover bamboo, size 11 circulars, one each 16" and 29". Each used one time only, still come with their plastic sleeves.

BOOKS:

Home Decorating with Knitting & Crochet, most recent copyright is 1977, first is 1973. Lots of bedspreads, table linens, kitchen accessories, curtains, pillows, afghans, and rugs in this HB book. Some designs are hideous, others are actually quite nice, even 30 years later!

Knitting Over the Edge - flipped through it one time, will never use it.

Big Book of Knitting Stitch Patterns - again, flipped through it once, will never use it.

Stitch 'N Bitch A Knitter's Design Journal - once more, flipped through it once, will never use it.

What I want:

ebay money/credit to buy a few things from Oregon Trail Yarn (primarily 1lb cones of Lamb's Pride worsted or bulky in black, charcoal and burgundy)

KnitPicks credit (or custom purchase) or yarns - Essential, Gloss, Andean Silk, Elegance, Memories, Panache all considered; blacks, olive greens, and deep jewel tones preferred

items from my Amazon wishlist

sock yarns - deep jewel tones preferred, solid, variegated, whatever
other yarns - Cascade Pastaza, 220, Pima Silk or Eco Wool in black, charcoal gray, burgundy or olive green
Also looking for Brown Sheep cotton fleece in white, any quantity (even 1/3 to 1/2 skein would be enough)

And I am also open to yarns not listed here, preferably natural fibers or blends, in color ranges I've already listed. And if all else fails, well, gift certificates to places like A.C. Moore, JoAnn, etc. are fine as well.

I'd like 3 skeins of the HPY boutone yarn. I have two skeins each of Knitpicks Essential in Pine (dark green) and Black. I also have some Regia 4ply in what I think is the "Jubilee color" colorway - it forms a fair isle pattern as you knit it. Hmmm, what else . . . I have a bunch of Rowanspun 4 ply in the 'Turkish' color, which is a deep, vibrant purple. Let me know if any of that strikes your fancy. If not, I have other stuff.

I'd prefer not to seperate it... sure you don't want all 6 of them?

I don't want more than three, sorry :( I see someone else wants the other three, would that be cool?

Ok... ignore last reply, someone else wants the other three. I'd love all four of the Essential skeins. What else do you have? Right now we're somewhere around approx. $21 of my yarn to $12 or your yarn.

Shoot, I though I had ordered two skeins each of the pine and black, but I only have one skein of each. Sorry!

So I have:
- Knitpicks Essential: 1 pine, 1 black
- Elann Essential 4 ply (as far as I can tell exactly the same as Knitpicks Essential in composition, gauge, yardage, texture, etc): 1 reddish brown, 1 gray, 2 tan
- Kraemer Summit Hill, 1 Greenstone, 1 black
- Handpainted yarn bulky handspun, 2 skeins Sky Blue

Instead of the KnitPicks Essential I'd love the Kraemer Summit Hill - does both of them for my three sound ok to you?

Send me an email at blackrayne @ blackrayne . com (omit spaces) with your address and we will finialize details, ok?

I hate to bother you, but I am wondering if you are still interested in the Handpainted yarn I have for swap? I don't know if you've tried to email me, if so I haven't gotten anything from you.

blackrayne @ blackrayne . com

I am shipping more stuff tomorrow (Friday), so if you want it let me know ASAP, ok?

Thanks!

I would be interested in the 'Knitting over the edge' or the 'Stitch N' Bitch' Journal...as for what I can offer you...KnitPicks or Cascade, but I do have some sock yarn. I have 2 balls of Fortissima sock yarn if you would be interested in that.

Not overly fond of the striping pattern of the Fortissima, but I am still open to other items.

I could be interested in that OUtback Wool, as it looks like the Outback Mohair I have in the stash. Do you mind checking the color number for me? Dyelot is hugely unimportant as I'll be stranding and I don't worry about keeping colors together when I do that.

I have metric buttloads of sock yarn, at least a couple of hanks of Cascade220 in black (one in superwash, too), and probably other stuff of interest. I'll double-check my mohair's color number in the morning, as tonight I'm just too pooped to excavate that far down in the stash...

Thanks :D

Color number is 959, it's a lovely blend of deep fuschia, plum and dark grape purple.

If you are interested, let me know what sock yarns you have, though I am currently leaning more toward the Cascade 220 (non-superwash as it's for a felted project).

Eh, appearances can be deceiving. I have the mohair in 859. Ce la vis...

Now I've said that, and now I've had a look at the color cards, I think the 800-series is the mohair and the 900-series is the wool. So 859 and 959 probably go together just fine.

I have one NWT hank of Cascade220 in black, another in dark forest green (sorry, not olive) color# 8893, a tail end of a more olive-ish dark green, and a partial (maybe 1/3) hank of black with extra cat hair as a bonus feature. I've also got bright fuschia (not dark) NWT.

I paid $7/hank for the Cascade, so two fresh hanks I think would be an even trade based on the prices I'm seeing for the Outback wool. I'll send the leftovers too if you want them.

I think you are correct about the 800 and 900 numbers... they look like they are the same blend based on the wee little swatches on Plymouth's website.

I'll gladly take the blacks and greens, but no fuschia.

Send me an email at blackrayne @ blackrayne . com (minus spaces) with your address so we can finalize details, ok?

If you're not rid of the Knitting Over the Edge in a few days, I can see at home what I might have to offer as a swap. I have been itching for that book for awhile.
