| Description: | For the further study and advocacy of the fictional Kryptonian language. |
Welcome!
The KLPC is a project started by
loqia to share her obsession with the fictitious Kryptonian language as seen (or, more accurately, not) in Superman-related media.
Kryptonian is a bit of a funny thing, since although it's been around for seventy-odd years, people have only very recently attempted to turn it into an actual language as opposed to just a transliteration of alphabets (here by referred to as 'Kryptonese'). The KLPC is primarily intended as a resource for fanfic writers and miscellaneous DC fans to share their vocab and grammar in an attempt to build a functional and consistent language between various fan works. Even in the Really Real World, languages are built by consensus; if everyone's speaking the same thing, it works.

The Rules
- Yes. We are geeks who are teaching ourselves a non-existent language. Deal with it.
- Er... that's about it, really.
Resources
- Modern Kryptonian: Our primary resource. Has the basic grammar, phonetics and vocab that everything here is assumed to be buil on top of.
