SQUEE!!! And Sad I had to go.. |
] |
I did myself some good and got out of the apartment to check out the annual art festival we have in Downtown Salt Lake -- Sadly, It made me terribly homesick for my mother Portland, but still it was a wonderful, cultural experience for me this year... Now I have to return to work tomorrow, but now at least I have these little beauties!:

Portuguese, 1985, 35 1/2" w x 28" h, Signed Ernesto Sarmento 85 "Ernesto Sarmento is a highly collected, contemporary European Surrealist artist from Portugal who has works in many major collections. He has completed a mural at the Palais Hotel in Paris as well. This painting shows Klaus Nomi dressed as an elfin circus magician wearing a formal black costume holding a hat with a rabbit and a magic wand while a nude man stands against the circus tent behind him. Mr. Dubin states that this is an important set of surreal paintings, and that the artist's works have typically sold for prices ranging from $8,000 to $10,000." HEY FELLOW KLAUS FANS THIS IS ONE OF THREE PAINTINGS OF KLAUS BY THIS ARTIST....I CANNOT FIND THE OTHER 2 ON THE INTERNET...Help me search? THANKS

Despite being overloaded with graduation and client work, I still found some time to make a little doodle of Klaus. I'm going to re-do the line art and add color later, but I wanted to show the sketch. :) And if anyone is wondering, that's a star hovering above his head.
