This month official novel^_^ WolframXYuuri
So minna, as I explained in my other post, here is a summary/translation of this month keitai official mini novel that features WolframXYuuri.
First and most important thing, I want to thank [info]ritsu2 for pasting all the text in japanese (she had to copy words per words) and the other mod of this comm [info]evercool for checking my english^^

Maybe for people who are not used to the novel, the Wolf shown here will be a little "different" from the one you saw in the anime, but I fell in love with this Wolfram so much..I'm sure you'll love him.
Since it's was quite long to translate everything, like it happened for the novel, I'm summarizing some things, reporting some sentences and in the end I translated literally the most adorable part.
So..are you ready???
Here we go^^

It's another normal day in Shin Makoku...people are busy and Yuuri in his studio with in front of him a paper...
Wolfram comes in the room asking him what's up and Yuuri shows him what he was doing..it was something similar to the "crosswords puzzle" game...
Just that Yuuri couldn't answer to some questions because he didn't know the answer.(these are question about culture in Shin Makoku that's why he couldn't answer)
First thing for example was: a nickname that people use for their children...
He didn't know the answer, while Wolfram remembers that when he was a child, his mother used to call him his cute Honey-chan (yeah, honey^O^)
Apparently Yuuri looking at him thought it was a perfect nickname for him and decided that from that moment he would call him Honey-chan^^;;; (Yuuri...you realize you started to call Wolfram honey?? Honey???)
When Wolfram tried to explain that probably every child was called this way Yuuri was "ah is it so Honey-chan?"
It was too cute for words^O^
Then continuing, there is a question about a name for some mountain mice..that Yuuri didn't know..
Wolfram explained him the story, apparently it's narrated that in the Rochefort part of the country (Rochefort is one of the families like the Von Biefelt etc etc) people who used to leave their loved ones, left their messages to these little mountain mice...in order to let their loved ones know their words...
Yuuri didn't understand but Wolfram explained that it was done when those people were going to war..so it was like..leaving to these mice a message of love and goodbye that they would bring to their loved ones left at home.
It was a sad story....and Yuuri remained a little shocked..

I'm starting to translate from here..because this is the part I loved the most^^ My comments and explanations are in the brackets

After Wolfram's explanation, Yuuri fell silent, in the room the time passed in an overflowing silence.
All those people that lost important relatives and lovers..their last message given to mountain mice, they got their story quietly...
Words of goodbye never said, feelings of gratitude that were never told.
Abruptly, a thought started to form in his head, partly due to a spur of a moment, Yuuri talked.
A feeling of uneasiness probably stirred up by a glowing flame.
Maybe he did it for this...
- Na, if I were to leave for there (earth) and never come back...what would you do? -
- What do you mean what would I do? -
- If we were never going to meet again..would you give a message to the mountain mice or cry...Would you cry a little? -
- I wouldn't cry -
Receiving an answer different from the one he expected, somewhere in his chest, something started to hurt slightly...
It was not just that he didn't expect it..but if it was up to him, he would fail..if it was up to him, he would have probably cried, that's why he felt disappointed receiving a different answer.
- What's this, you're cold, and here I thought you would at least feel a little lonely.-
- I would certainly feel lonely but I wouldn't cry -
Wolfram, slowly standing up from the table, started to walk to the window.
Standing across from the business table, he tilted his chin and crossed his arms. The finger tips that held charcoal earlier is slightly shaded in black.
With the sunshine directly on him, he was really honey color (he is referring to his hair)
- If I were to cry, you wouldn't be able to live happily there would you? -
- Wolf...-
- Moreover, you could decide to never go back to your family, because you are kind....that's why I'd definitely not cry -
Yuuri, without saying anything, looked at Wolfram and then placed his finger on the centre of the white paper.

- The verticle lines are in uniform. -
This is (what it means) to make your feelings merge together with the other.

Now my comment, feel free to skip them ok?

I think this was the sweetest and more...evident proof of the relationship that links Wolfram and Yuuri in the novels.
Reading them I got the feeling that Yuuri is the one who relies more on Wolfram and not vice versa.
Their bond is so strong that Wolfram knows perfectly what Yuuri thinks or what Yuuri would do.
And he acts manly, a lot more than in the anime.
People who watched the anime, remember what happened during the last episode ne?
Here it happens the contrary. Wolfram knows Yuuri, knows that Yuuri needs certain things or he wouldn't be able to make the right decision, he needs that support that Wolfram gives him unconditionally, Wolfram would give his life for him, as a soldier, as a friend and as a person who sees in Yuuri is most important person. He is ready to sacrifice his feelings, if Yuuri can be happy in this way. And Yuuri on his part wouldn't be able to be happy if Wolfram is not happy. (between the two I don't have any doubt, Wolfram is the strongest one, that's why he became Yuuri pillar since Conrad's bertrayal novel)
Their bond doesn't need reassurance, kisses, hugs, to make it more real.
It's in both their heart, and it's something that overcomes the physical touch. It's like, they feel secure and at peace when they are together knowing that they can believe unconditionally in each others without any doubt.
It's not the first time that Yuuri looking at Wolfram links his figure to the sun and specifically to the sunlight.
It happened other times in the novels that he compared Wolfram to sunshine, that he admitted himself that the blonde is blunt but also kind and that he would never lie to him.
I think that, in a situation where you can't believe in other people because they always hide something...(see Conrad or Murata, that are black enough to make you believe there is always something that they are not telling you) Wolfram is the only one that shines enough for Yuuri to believe unconditionally in him.
Their relationship is so strong and so lovely that...I feel a little bad now if I watch again the anime, because there you see a Wolfram who constantly reminds Yuuri of engagement and that chases him everywhere..
Novel Wolfram is very different, he is more mature, adult...it's really a wonderful chara and I can see why Takabayashi sensei said he is her favourite.
Who doesn't like sunshine after all?

Wow this really does sound like a declaration of love^^;;;
I hope the novel will be translated someday...it's really completely another world.

Feel free to comment, to add your opinion, to tell if you liked this official mini novel ok?
P.S. Please do not repost this translation anywhere else ok?

omgggggggggg *dies* That was the cutest thing ever. Wolf is most definately a lot more mature in the novels. But in the last episode it does shine through a bit. That wolf wanted yuuri to go home to his family and be happy, even though it'd mean wolf himself wouldn't be. waaaah *cry* Wolf is so cute. *_______*

Thanks SO much for translating and sharing!!! *sends love*

I'm glad you like it, it is indeed the sweetest thing ever. And the fact that is an official novel written by Takabayashi sensei showed me perfectly what bond links Wolfram and Yuuri.
And believe me, novel Wolfram is so incredibly cool...Takabayashi sensei said in an interview that Wolfram in the novel will became better than Shinou..and well..I can't wait for that^_^

Thank you for commentig♥♥

Wow. Not a fan of the pairing persay, but I adore Wolfram and Yuuri's deep friendship in the novels, and I was curious about this since it's official and all. *sigh* Wolfram really is such a sweetheart. >_< I love anime!Wolfram, but if we could have seen more of THIS side of Wolfram, that would have been wonderful. He really sounds so mature and... lovely. Wah. *falls in love with Wolf all over again* X3 And omigosh, Honey-chan. XD I'm going to have to remember that.

Thanks so much for all your hard work with translating and then sharing it! Wonderful job! ^_^

I think that any fan of Wolfram, even if she's not fan of the pairing would appreciate this side of his personality.
If I love animeWolfram because he is cute and adorable, I love novelWolfram because he is manly, strong and devoted.
He is such a good character^__^

oh my XDDDD the pretty distraction and it's just so lovely ^-^ I blame my fangirl-ing on you miyuchan when I should be studying right now instead squeels some more =P *hugs*

Anyways, THANK YOU, thank you to Ritsu, you and Eck XD You guys are awesome for taking your time out to do this.

Wolfram's character to me, beyond the initial misgivings and the outer jealously and his choice words, always made me question why Wolfram was the way he was. I think that's why Wolfram has been and is my favorite character in kkm. He has a lot of potential to mature and he has, immensely, and he loves the ones closest to him to be able to let them go, if need be. I always thought so and in the anime, it's never stated outright, but with the novel it actually takes you into the character's thoughts. I love this Wolfram, I also love anime Wolfram, because both Wolframs are still the same, whether or not he seems a little bit more 'different' in the novel but I think that's because his thoughts are better fleshed out in the novel (from my impression of what you have been writing about the novels so far). I hope other people, who are not so inclined to Wolfram might see novel Wolfram and come to understand him better, maybe . . .

One of the main reasons of why I like the Yuuri and Wolfram coupling is the fact that they both help each other to grow and mature. Sure, they make mistakes but who doesn't? And the best way to overcome those flaws is to learn from them.

Thank you again, this was really interesting to read and made my angst go away from the other happenings in the novel :3 lol *hugs you*

;___; I just melted right now.

First of all, thank you so much for posting this and thanks to ritsu2 too for sharing and allowing you to post it. So much love... ^____^

I absolutely adore the ending, it speaks loads about how much Yuuri means to Wolfram and what he´ll be willing to give to make him happy. Kakkoiiiiii! That´s real love. And seeing Yuuri reacting to what he tought Wolf´´s coldness... Awww. I could go on for hours.

I knew you´ll like the Wolfram from the novels. Seeing their relationship there is worth the Conyuu insinuations, ne?. You see more shades of Wolfram complementing his anime image. Still, too little Wolf for my taste, especially in the latter novels, and the ending of the last one was blatantly cruel. ;__; (Still not recovered from shock)

Hachimutsu, then? For honey? That´s so very sweet. ^__^

eheh you're welcome^_^

Sou ne, this ending speaks both for Wolfram and for Yuuri.
I would have never expected from Yuuri to ask Wolfram that kind of question it made me really understand how much Wolfram means to Yuuri too.
Actually just few days ago I re read all the novels I had just checking the Wolfram parts (no I don't like Conyuu so I skipped all those parts) and it dawned up on me how much from novel 6 Wolfram becomes important to Yuuri.
And how deep is their bond, Wolfram for one would give his life for Yuuri, and even if I had this idea from the beginning the novel prospective made everything so clear.
In anycase I can guess that this novel comes "after" that ending...(maybe?) so maybe everything went well??

Yeah yeah Hachimitsu-chan ^O^O^O^ I was dieing^O^

Awwww! Yuuri and his honey-chan ♥ So cuuuute!

Even though I don't know what happens at the end of the KKM anime (I haven't seen it, don't tell me!!! XD) the novel!Wolfram definitely seems to be a more mature one. I like both aspects of Wolfram, anime and novel. He can be both ways and still neither of the versions seem to be out of character, which is really impressive for a character. It was really cool of Wolfram to say what he did, and Yuri's definitely the kind of person on whom things like that aren't lost. Haa, I don't even know what I am really trying to say, other than I love these characters a lot.

That was just so sweet, their relationship is definitely nothing but a really strong one. :')

*sighs* That was too wonderful for words, really! I think you said it all. The line that he said...I don't know, it just struck me so deep. That in the end, despite his bluntness and all, Wolfram is very kind. And that he knows, more than anything, that Yuuri's happiness means more to him than his own.

I don't know about you, but I enjoyed seeing this as a contrast to the anime, and I like him even more in the anime now, because if he's capable of thoughts such as this, I can't help but feel that his chasing Yuuri around is what most fandom claims: that he's actually insecure, and this is the only way he knows how of expressing himself.

Wolfram isn't Conrad, he isn't Gunter. He's not honest with his feelings, but he's impulsive and quick to anger. Above all, though, he's proud. If Yuuri doesn't want him because of another person (be it a girl or a guy), I think Wolfram's natural reaction will be to rage on trivial matters on Yuuri, rather than to blame Yuuri outright for not returning his feelings--because Yuuri would feel much, much worse if he had been truly honest and just let himself cry.

I think this short novel illustrates this part of his character that I see. I really love it. ^___^

Despite everything they showed us, Wolfram is very mature and way more adult than Yuuri.
You know what it the best part of the novels, that in the novels for some reason i didn't see Wolfram chase Yuuri...(aprt from the two times when he decided to look for Yuuri all over the world) I think they reached a sort of understanding...and Wolfram knows already what is his place.

I can see your point, Wolfram would die before letting know Yuuri that he is the the one to blame for his unhappiness or his pain, because he know Yuuri wouldn't bear that.
I have some sort of problem now to see both the Wolframs that I love.
Anime emphasizes Wolframìs childish nature, Wolfram's inpulsivness while novel put the attention on a more mature Wolfram that is shown in the anime but just in rare occasions.
Ne?^^

UWAHHH! It's really beautiful! T__T sniff...I'm so touched!

From now on, I love Novel!Wolf better. u__u He is more composed and thoughtful. I mean...the part when Yuuri asked if he would cr or not...well, we can see that Wolfram cried by the end of anime. It seemed that they wanted to show Wolfram as a weakest brother (or even uke? XD) But in the novel, he looks much better and doesn't yell around Yuuri frequently~ I think his heart is much stronger than in the anime, or even, stronger than anyone else. He seems to be the one who always accepts rejection. T_T But somewhat, he can endure it well.

Honey...honey...OMG...I need kleenex. XD *nosebleed*

thank you so much for translating, [info]miyuchan ♥ Thank you so much for the post, [info]ritsu2 and help from [info]evercool. ♥ ♥ ♥ Three of you are awesome and cool! *glomps*

I wish that we can have more Wolfram in the novel...u__u or even better, Yuuram *___* I really like this translation, especially when Yuuri looked disappointed when Wolf said that he wasn't going to cry. Heheh..*nudges Yuuri* Got hurt, Yuuri? Cause you love your honey! XD *and hurriedly hides*

It seems that Tomo Takabayashi sensei is really good with angst and fluff. *__* It's so sweeeeeeetttt~

^__^ Yeah I absolutely adore novel Wolfram^_^

Your analysis of Wolfram chara is quite accurate you know? I agree with you in a lot of points^^

Well, as I said Wolfram became Yuuri's pillar from novel 6, that's really possible he felt hurt when Wolfram said that...they are really close, but Yuuri is young while Wolfram shows in the novel an adult side (that IMHO is the thing that make Yuuri rely on him so much), Yuuri is..vulnerable and Wolfram tries in his own way to supply at his vulnerability
and I really can see hi will to help to make of Yuuri a good king.
Wolfram would die if this could mean Yuuri is happy. And even if it would hurt he wouldn't show his pain...because showing his pain would hurt Yuuri and he doesn't want this..that's what I got from him.

I love this chara so much♥♥

Yeah he is so different, but somehow I think that anime wolf is going towards that maturity that novel Wolfram already shows...
If only they showed us that too in the anime >_<

No problem, thank you for commenting!♥

I really love their ways showing their feelings. ^^
Really love this mini novel so deeply... At the end I like Yuuri says nothing, they know each other without any word. So cute~!

- "Honey-chan~~", what do you think, Yuuri-kun...? Have you decided to place Wolfram as your sweetheart??? ^^

Ah, I'm a little late in reading this *shakes fist at midterms!* but I have to say that I really love this mini-novel! I wish I could get this on my phone, but alas, I do nto live in Japan XD

Wolfram really is strong, I love the absolute love he has for Yuuri, and that their bond goes much deeper than phsyical attraction, or what have you. Really beautiful. I loved it! Thanks again for translating this! ♥

Wow. Wolfram is indeed very different in the novels. But I think I'd like both versions just as much. I still see a link with the last episode of the anime. Wolf didn't mean to cry, he was just overwelmed and he was mature enough to let Yuuri go. Yuuri couldn't even look back at him... which says a lot about what's going in Yuuri's heart. ;)

Thanks for your sharing and you translate it. Hmm, Wolfram looks mature in the novel a lot. He deeply thought about Yuuri's happiness. Wolfram in anime also attract me a lot despite of his immaturity, he developed a lot and I'm sure he would answer the similar thing in the anime if that kind of question was asked by Yuuri.
