Using telekinesis to fly is pretty damn cool I must say, but if she's got telekinetic powers wouldn't it be easier to use them to catch the thing? OTOH I don't think she can actually see it yet, so maybe that's the limitation. |

Just to let everybody know: the comic will be back on January 2nd, in a 'manga page' format that I think will work better than the 'gag strip' thing we were trying to do. I'll be doing both the writing and the art, and the story will be kind of starting over, with the addition of a little prequel storyline I wrote. The restart is mostly because I want the whole thing to match. Hopefully the new format will make the pace seem to clip along better - that and each page of comic will contain about two strips worth of material, since there won't be any need for overt punchlines.
Cil's comics will remain online for nostalgia's sake and because I think they're infinitely prettier than mine could ever be. And Cil herself will still be around, doing things like eating my pies and helping to mod the forum.
And now, I sink back into the fiery pits of my Term Paper. |

| Cil's Sunday Rant: Freelancing |

Anyway!
Aha, WOW, comics are hard. I mean, I knew this already -- I used to do freelance colouring for a few published comics, plus some side work overseas (thanks to those chums who helped me out with that <3), for several years. And boy lemme tell ya, it's a rough, angsty road for those who aren't a well-oiled, keen, lean and mean art machine. (Which I wasn't, at the time. Or even now! :D)
I doff my hat and ooze a little bit between my legs out of respect for those heroes out in the industry right now, sweating their blood and tears and assorted salty fluids to get the art done on time for edits, passing it down along the production pipeline, and for making it look AWESOME on the first (or admirable second) time around. And by art-heroes I mean the pencillers, inkers and colourists. (;D)
I mean, srsly! Everyone's like, wow, freelance is so great, you get to make your own hours, work at home, it's a bit of extra money on the side, and teehee haha you can choose your own work lol!! This is a dirty lie, folks, do not soil your underpants with it. What does freelance mean, anyway?
