Kinetic is proud to present a live performance and record release party for Chicago's own, Hymen recording artist Millipede. Come celebrate the release of his new album "All My Best Intentions." This event will also showcase the rel...ease of two awesome albums from excellent locally-based label Tympanik Audio: Access to Arasaka's,/b> "Oppidian" and Displacer's, "X Was Never Like This." There will be giveaways galore and DJ MisterEntropy will provide the beats in between.

We have two great events coming up later this month. First up is our monthly invasion of Neo — Nexus 6! — on Friday July 17th. This month DJs Gremlin and Sprite will be joining Razer-X for the aural assault. Come to hear some glitch, melodic rhythms, and hard-pounding beats! We also promise not to play any MJ. No, really.

Remember when we said we were looking for a July venue for Kinetic? Well we finally wrangled it out. This month’s Kinetic will be Sunday July 26th at Darkroom, featuring DJs Licious and Weird Sketch. Even better, it will feature a live set from Synnack vs. Torrent Vaccine! But wait — there’s more! This show will also be a release party for the new Ad-ver-sary CD, A Bright Cut Across Velvet Sky, released on Tympanik Audio!

This event is co-sponsored by WTII and Bit Riot and is sure to be a fun time. Note the early start time, given that it’s on a Sunday.

The music format is a mix of club hits, old classics, new music, and alternative songs from established artists in EBM, industrial, rhythmic noise, and other familiar genres. Kinetic DJs Sprite and 'Licious join Neo resident Razer-X in bringing the beats.

This month’s KINETIC has been postponed from May 30th to June 6th (in place of Doomed! on that date). We apologize for the short notice, but we just found out ourselves from the venue. Jun Bar’s going to be inundated with the Division St. Fest this weekend and so they’re switching up their schedule to accommodate for it. We will continue on as normal on Sat. June 6th, however, featuring DJs Sprite & Gremlin.

Join DJ MisterEntropy for a night of the finest dark electronic music & drinking, in the gloomy depths of the Underground Lounge -- all in celebration of a mysterious, subterranean, creature's birth and subsequent education, on what it is to be alive and human ... or something like that. It's complicated. Expect the unexpected.

Well, then, welcome to DOOMED! The party at the end of the world will be at the super-posh Jun Bar in scenic Wicker Park. DJs Licious and MisterEntropy will provide the finest in electronic music to drown out the alien death rays in the background. The bar will serve you vodka and whiskey drink specials so you can meet the interstellar menace with a stern look and a wobbly stance. Laugh in the face of danger, swine flu bedamned!
