The Snape/Black meetup at Terminus 2008 is looking for S/S shippers attending the conference to read fic for the group.  More information can be found HERE.  The fic can be old or new, your own or someone else's, as long as it's Snape/Black.

...And of course, anything involving young!Snape is very welcome.

I'm a little scared these might not be up y'all's alley, since the comm info asks for "The fumbling, bitter, angry, fly-zapping, grey pants-wearing, sulky, Marauder-hating Half-blood Prince. The Severus who joined the Death Eaters." They're all in the right time period but the first is a bit fluffy and the second is very fluffy (since the recipient requested fluff). The third might suit darker tastes, though.

So anyway, I wrote three fics for the recently concluded less_for_you Lily/Severus exchange, which I now see the last post in this comm (six months ago) was me posting about getting more participants... *shifty eyes* anyway! I hope you like them. ( Story info and links )

orpheus_samhain is organizing a new Severus/Lily anonymous fic and art exchange over at less_for_you. It looks like they may just have scraped the 12 minimum participants she wants for the exchange to go on, but the more the merrier, and I'd really like to see this be a great exchange. :)

This piece is backstory to a larger series - a multimedia epic-of-manners, housed at descensus_hp - involving a select coterie of death-eaters during the late seventies/marauder era (although the story has now gone both backwards and forwards in time.) Our main characters are Severus, Lucius, Narcissa, Bellatrix, Rodolphus and Regulus, and the pairings involve slash, het and poly in varying permutations.

Hello to everyone. My name's Brit; I'm new to the community. Of course, like the other members here, I adore Snape. I'm especially fascinated by pre-canon Snape; I often contemplate on his adolescent life, or what it would've been like. I wonder about his family, the early relationships he made with friends and with his parents, and his bond (if there ever was one) with his mother. Although I enjoy most Snape fics, I truly relish in particular any stories that explore these subjects. This is the reason why I was initially attracted to this community, devoted to the pre-canon Snape. I've already read some excellent fics here (great job to everyone who posts these fics) and I believe I'm ready to share a poem I've recently written. The poem entitled 'Fatal' features a very young and melancholy Snape. It's quite brief and innocent, also a bit sad. Hope you enjoy.

CHARACTERS: Lucius Malfoy, Narcissa Black, Severus Snape, Bellatrix Lestrange, Rodolphus Lestrange, Regulus Black, Lord Voldemort, Abraxus Malfoy, Alyn Zabini [OC], an unnamed veela, various members of the extended Malfoy & Black families and other wedding guests.
AUTHORS: kalichan and rm
RATING: 18+
WARNINGS: extremely dubious consent with dubiously-human/sentient entity, sexual violence, and ritual all rolled into one. Also some unfortunate catering choices, archaic & sexist traditions, self-abuse of all kinds, including, but not limited to, masturbation, and the usual flavours of slash, het, and poly.
AUTHORS' NOTE: You may consider this story our answer to the usual "What if _____ Malfoy were a veela?" fic filled with obligatory veela sex. Alarmingly, it was also rather heavily influenced by the following gnomic conundrum: What if veela were like veal? Of such intoxicated moments are wizarding traditions born. Views advanced by the wizards are not necessarily our own.

While this piece is part of a larger series, it's as good an entry point as any. 19-year-old Snape is miserable while stuck at Lucius's bachelor party. Series as a whole includes Snape/Lucius, Snape/Narcissa, Snape/Lucius/Narcissa among many others, but is focused on Snape's story. Series branches from the information in HBP, and while it includes some DH information is not-compliant with it or a spoiler for it in the least.

Due to recent clarifications by LJ on its policy regarding underage works of art, I would strongly suggest that any artist who posted R or NC-17 artwork on kinda_lush go into their posts and delete said art. I don't want people to be suspended for work they did over an year ago.

Fics don't seem to be as much of a problem at the moment, although if you wish to flock an R or NC-17 fic for your own peace of mind, you are more than welcome to do so.

Announcing the Opening of the Marauder Era Rare Slash Exchange, or MERSE!

What's it about?
MERSE is a ficathon based on slash and femmeslash pairings in the marauder period. The exchange will take place during the summer of 2007.
We're talking everything from James/Snape to Lucius/Dumbledore to McGonagall/Bellatrix to Pettigrew/Rosier to Voldemort/Fudge. Yes. You read that last one right.

So what does this mean?
marauder era: From about the birth of the Maruaders to the death of James Potter. So about 1959 to about 1981.
rare slash: Obviously slash means no het, but what do I mean by rare? Basically this: no Sirius/Remus and no Remus/Snape. So yes, I'm including James/Sirius, which isn't really rare in the Marauder era fics, but is rare in HP fiction generally. Medium-rare anyway.
