Summary: Axel disputes Demyx's choice of weapon. Zexion disagrees.
Notes: it just seemed to short to justify posting it on ff.net
“It’s a guitar,” Axel said, his voice adapting a tone of incredulity. “That’s not a weapon. It’s just a dangerous step closer to starting Castle Karaoke Night.”
Demyx, previously so excited to have finally discovered his weapon, clutched the offending instrument close to him. “It’s not a guitar,” he muttered. “It’s a sitar.”
“Oh, my apologies then,” Axel drawled, far from penitent. “It’s a sitar. What an improvement.” He chuckled, nodding a head toward Zexion, who was sitting a short distance away, calmly going through his book. “Why don’t you just start a club with him?” Axel then shook his head, “A giant book and a sitar. Are we an Organization or a conservatory?”
At that comment, Zexion lifted his head, coolly appraising the Flurry of Dancing Flames. “I don’t find it beneficial to underestimate any form of weapon, VIII.”
“Zexy, you have a book,” Axel replied. “What are you going to do? Read the heartless to death?”
It took about 6.9 seconds for Axel to learn that a book is, in fact, a weapon when six hundred pages of esoterica with leather cover and metal trappings are slammed upside one’s skull.
That was the first time Zexion saw Demyx smile.
