ken has a book coming out! Brainiac: Adventures in the Curious, Competitive, Compulsive World of Trivia Buffs. advance publicity/review proofs are out. it's available for preorder on amazon with an anticipated release date of september 12. there is evidently a "Fifteen-cty author tour" in the works.
also blurbed on the back of the proof is a "tie-in with author's blog", which is brand new and located at http://ken-jennings.com/blog/ — which i would guess some people here will be interested in.

just writing to let you all know about the jeopardy dvd that's been released. it's got the three tournament of champions eps and ken's losing episode (although, i would've rather seen an episode where he kicked butt, but whatever) :P there's also an extra that shows behind the scenes stuff about the show.. what goes into making them, tour of the set, etc.
both sony's website and amazon have them going for 13.99, and i think sony might still be doing their free ground shipping promotion, while amazon has it eligible for free shipping if your total is more than $25.

i just got my dvd last week, and i'm happy to have some kenjen on dvd.. still wish they did a dvd set with all the episodes he appeared in, though.

hello again kenjen world that nobody ckecks anymore. bastards. just kidding. but im really not.
so anyway.
ken's game show is going to be called 'ken jennings versus the rest of the world.' catchy? sure.
anyway, our poor ken seems to be, or at least was, battling a cold and a fever, but still went to some trivia thing. oh, he's a trooper.
my favorite quote from the article about it, you ask?
"My wife is not here so I do not have to pretend that this wasn't as important as the birth of our child or our wedding. It was right up there." (talking about being on jeopardy)
yeah, thats pretty harsh. i love him.
In other news, i bought mental floss(ken has that magazine column about the six degrees of separation.) He did it about the rapper Eminem and the candy M&M. i could post it, if anyone wants me to. just say the word. i dont feel like doing it if nobody is even going to look at it. its supreme, i might add.
