Kat's man of the match:
Chelsea's best man on the pitch definitely was Super Frankie Lampard, but even he was outshone by the outstanding defensive work done by on Titus Bramble.  In the past he's often been a consistent source of blunders, but there was not even so much as a hint on that treat as he bossed his back four and time and time again denied the hosts, seemingly reading their minds like open books and always, absolutely always being in the right spot at the right time.  Add the fact that he stayed fair and sporting all throughout, and his performance deserves nothing less but the perfect 10.

Dear Chelsea FC,

I cannot help but fear that we have made a giant mistake in dismissing Scolari now.

What the team needs most of all is stability, not an interim manager followed by another interim manager followed by another manager sacked after just a few months.

What we need is a manager who'll stick with us like Sir Alex has been with ManU. What YOU guys in the "important" positions need is patience.

Still, I will hope and pray that this change will be for the better.

Oh, but please, don't bring back Grant. You'll make us the laughing stock of the League even more than we already are.

True Blue,
me

Maybe because I am still not fully well (still struggling to recover from that bronchitis/cold thingy that knocked me out last weekend) I am still feeling somewhat melancholy, but I just felt like posting a Cudicini picspam.  I hope you enjoy as much as I do.

Dear Carlo,

My heart is breaking to see you go, at the same time I am happy for you as I know your move will mean you'll be number one between the sticks again.

Still, Stamford Bridge just won't be the same without you any more.

You will be badly, badly missed and never, ever forgotten.

Much much love and success to you for your career at Three Point White Heart Lane and plenty of clean sheets - except against Chelsea, that is.

Sad,
me

Kat's man of the match:
There can be only one today, and that's Chelsea's keeper Petr Cech who was simply outstanding and, I daresay, near perfect – a great way to celebrate your 100th Chelsea clean sheet. One save better than the other, it's damned hard to pick out a favourite from his saves of which he had so many to make as he usually doesn't have in five games altogether. I guess the best of the bunch however was the tipover from a Cahil shot that took a heavy deflection off Lampard's back. Either way, congratulations to Petr, you were amazing!

Kat's man of the match:
Not a Chelsea man, but then again, it is a Chelsea man who gets my vote: Former Blue Scott Parker gave an outstanding performance that was second to none and even outshone Frank Lampard, battling for every ball, controlling the midfield and helping out wherever he was needed. I agree with what JT said in the Matchday Magazine: Scotty was overhasty when he demanded a transfer away from the Bridge; had he had just a tad more patience he could easily have broken into the first team and become a key player. Alas, he's now a Hammer, and his performance was outstanding, if not perfect.

Three men in Dortmund's team have stood out, but to me that honour belongs to Roman Weidenfeller who was back at his goalkeeping best and made forgotten the times when he was everything but commanding and solid in his box. Some of the saves he pulled off were nothing short of brilliant.

Yes, it seems that finally I have found a site to provide me with (relatively) untagged pictures again, and I have also found a trick to download pictures from said site and all of that free of charge (though I will resume raiding WireImage soon, promise!), so I guess it's safe to say, all hail the return of more regular picspamming here on KOF!  =D

It's a bloody time-consuming task to raid JAMD for images, but I am sure you will all agree with me when I say, it's well worth it!
