Setting: Division 8. [morning]
Summary: Taking a short break, Aiba sits down in front of Division 8 and thinks over things.
Aiba's mind was still swirling with excitement over the question his lover had dropped on him a few days ago. Having been rather, intoxicated that night, he'd almost thought he dreamed the entire thing. That is until he sobered up and Sho had confirmed it. He wondered how he would go about telling Jun. Did he need permission? It wasn't usual for a lieutenant of one division to move into another. It was all he could think about to a point where he couldn't think straight. Which was why he needed to take a break, having gotten absolutely nowhere with the stack of papers that he left sitting on the desk in the office.
He needed to clear his mind, as much as he was ecstatic about living with his lover, he needed to do his work. Aiba could only hope that his Captain didn't see the pile of work still to do with him just sitting on the steps outside of the Division. Doing nothing. He had tried! That should have been something, right?
A wide smile appeared on his face as he titled his head up to look at the bright sky, a hand coming up to shade his eyes from the sunlight. His thoughts flickered over to the time he'd gone to the Human world. He missed it, and wanted to go back. However, with everything happening... The smile disappeared, brows furrowing as Aiba went over how quickly things seemed to be changing. The peace wasn't so peaceful any longer. It was only a matter of time before something big happened. Would he be ready? Would the soul society be prepared?
With a rather exaggerated, loud sigh, Aiba flopped backwards. Resting against the hard, cold surface at the top of the steps. It was too nice to be working anyways (he knew he used that excuse far too often).
