This is a 'kanji of the week' community for people interested in or studying Japanese language. Every week a new kanji will be introduced with a short definition, example kanji compouds, and notes on stroke order. Each kanji will be taken directly from Guide to Writing Kanji and Kana, Book 1 (or 2): A Self-Study Workbook for Learning Japanese by Wolfgang Hadamitzky and Mark Spahn.
New kanji are posted every Monday! Well, actually it is often updated on Tuesdays because I tend to forget *doh* until Tuesday... So Monday or Tuesday. :p

This is an open community, you can join through this info page. Please don't come into my personal journal asking to be added, you can do it yourself. Posting access in this community is limited to keep the community on topic.
