AboutThis is a community for learners of Japanese who are intimidated by the thought of a writing system with 2,000 characters. There are tricks you can use, but when it comes right down to it, let's face it, kanji require rote memorization to master. Not everyone has the discipline to do this on their own, and it seems so many of the good kanji communities go defunct, so this community exists to help.
There are three "flights" based on the annual Japanese Language Proficiency Test (4 kyuu and 3 kyuu are lumped together), so you can choose what level you think you're at and follow from there. The info is taken from various kanji books I've acquired over the years, so the order should be pretty logical. In a year, you'll be one level higher, and that much closer to mastering these cursed buggers. Good luck!
One last note: The only person allowed to post new entries will be the maintainers. This is to keep the community focused and to cut down on spam.
