I've recently joined livejournal and discovered a post that questioned hongo kanata scandal in korea. i heard it along time ago so i went back and looked for it again. There are so many different scenarios going around but they all have the same kind of story. welll..... it's nothing really.... it kind of hurt my image of hongo kanata at first... but then.... i decided "let boys be boys~ "
it's not something extremely scandalous.
so the story goes like this:
In 2007 when his school (hinode gakuen) went to korea to visit. They also visited their sibling school (daejin design high school). during the visit, hongo kanata and his classmates were playing a game with some of the korean students. hongo lost and as "punishment" he had to kiss a girl (not sure...) . and the pictures were put up by the girl who was kissed by him.(through cyworld. kind of like facebook in korea). well the girl didn't know he was a celebrity and only commented that he was some really hot guy from japan.
The picture spread like all through cyworld and then the internet; such as naver. and hongo got some really bad critism from koreans. They assumed that he was forcefully trying to kiss the girl. (eh whatever!!) This got onto the japanese internet too and the stardust agency also saw this picture. hongo kanata admitted that the person in the picture was him and therefore he got a few months of probation from his agency.

This time of a magazine called "Monthly VAMPS". It is a fan-club magazine of the band VAMPS. The vocalist Hyde co-starred with Kanata in the movie "Moon Child" and because they're still in contact with each other Kanata was interviewed for a section of the magazine called "Tell me about Vamps". There he talks about Hyde and says some of the cutest things. I just had to share!
So here it is. Translation and scan behind the cut.
