1. Yes, this is a Jack/Charlie community. Like the doctor with daddy issues? Swoon over the ex-druggie would-be rockgod? Think the only thing better than them separate is them together? Then this is the place for you.

2. Yes, this is a slash community. What is slash? If you don’t know/don’t like gay people/think boys (or girls) kissing and fondling is just wrong then this community is not for you. Please leave. If you flame it so help me…yes. Just don’t do it. And since this is a slash community that means that all MAIN pairings must be slash (or femslash-see below). You can include some gen and het…a little…but it CANNOT be the main focus of the story. This goes for all postings. Even those not Jack/Charlie or not in the LOST fandom (see below, again).

3. This is a shipper community. This is not a place to be posting stuff about the actors/show/episodes/etc. If you want to congratulate on awards, honors, stuff like that, you can. But don’t link stories about the making of the show, don’t try to start a dialogue about where Evangeline Lilly lives, don’t try to post theories about whatever the fuck this island really is. UNLESS it is in a fic. Here we are for the slash. If you want to talk about any of the above ideas, type in ‘lost’ in the livejournal search engine or go here and you will get all the communities you could ever wish for. You will find your place.

4. We want to get to know one another. But, we don’t want to clog up the screen with intro posts. Solution? Introduce yourself with an offering. Doesn’t have to be big, just something for us to chew on.

No, not like that, you dirty people.

5. This community accepts all ratings and genres. G to NC-17. H/C, PWP, angst, fluff, even deathfic *sobs*. Don't know what any of that means? Go here. This being said, please be responsible and don’t click on something that you don’t think you would want to read. As for crossovers and mpregs, since it is supposed to be Jack/Charlie the crossover shouldn’t be the main pairing (clearly). And, I suppose mpregs are alright. I can’t say I care for either genre, but whatever floats your boat. It can be any length, from a drabble to a novel. There is only ONE genre that we do not want. But we’ll get to that. Just be sure to put proper warnings on all posts. Headings should be as follows (all that apply):

Feedback: If you want it, and if you want it public or private.

And no, if it is a Jack/Charlie fic you don’t have to put LOST as the fandom, unless you want to. If I ever get around to it, and assuming this community gets off the ground, a site will probably come up to archive the work. I’m looking into Yahoo…eh, I’m not saying nothing. But if you are open to other archiving then say so. And if you know about site-creating, let me know. *smiles connivingly*

6. The headings belong in the main post (the one we see when we open the journal page). Put the body of your fic in a lj-cut. Don’t know what that is or how to do it? Go here. Read up.

7. Spoilers are fine, but, once again, LABEL IT. Episode number and name should be sufficient.

8. Please, for the love of all that is good and holy, SPELL-CHECK! And, now that I think about it, spell-check doesn’t solve all the problems. Please also read through your work at least a couple times before posting, or have a beta do so (see below). It really isn’t all that hard people. If you can’t do that it probably means that you are too immature to be posting here anyway. So just do it, you lazy bastards.

9. This community is not just about the fics. Have a drawing or manip you’re proud of? Wrote a poem? Have some awesome icons you want to share (yes, we are all about the icons)? Jack/Charlie? Post it. Just make sure it is under a lj-cut (everything but previews).

10. All stories and graphics can be found in memories.

11. Are you a fangirl? Do you just love that hot guy who played that hobbit in that one movie that you really only watched for Orlando Bloom?

Do you like to flame? That is, post mean things about people’s works of creativeness for no reason other than because you are an ass?

Are you a Mary-Sue? Do you like writing stories that aren’t spell-checked just so you can kiss a cute boy in your fantasy world?

If you fit into any of the above categories, YOU ARE NOT WELCOME HERE. Now, we are usually very nice people, but there are some things we cannot stand. So don’t post that you think Dom Monaghan is *so* cute and you couldn’t believe it that he, like, almost died! Don’t post a story where a random person (who, ironically, acts just like a 14 year-old wannabe rockerchick) lands on the island and makes out with Sawyer. And DO NOT flame. Do not post that slash is gross and we are all going to hell. If you are caught doing any of these things you will be banned. No ifs. No ands. No buts.

12. So what the frick is the [mostly] part about? Well, since I know sometimes things just come to you in a flash of brilliance. Things that you really, really want to share. And sometimes you feel lazy, and don’t want to search for a nice little bit of smut. So here’s the deal. Say you have a marvelous Kate/Shannon fic you want to post. Or you just made a lovely Merry/Pippin pic. Or you wrote a poem about the undying love between Tess and Liz (Roswell…anyone?) Fine. You can post it. But…you must include something Jack/Charlie. A fic. A pic. A vid. Anything.

Now what can the other part be about? Well, it can be a fic, a pic, a vid…whatever. And…now this is important…it must be in a fandom that has at least one person who is in ‘LOST’. We want to stay somewhat together here. This includes RPS, Dom/Matt or otherwise, crossovers, mpregs, etc. So you can write a Merry/Pippin fic. Or you can write an Aragorn/Legolas fic, if AND ONLY IF Merry is somewhere in there. Because, let’s face it, a little Merry never hurt anyone.

13. Please, please read and comment. Speaking as a writer, it is always worth it to get feedback. We want to encourage creativity here people!

14. Alright. So I know I just gave a huge disclaimer about age. Now I would be a hypocrite if I said I wasn’t enjoying slash before I turned the big 1-8. Therefore, I am not going to kick you off if I find out you are underage. I will, however, ask you to use your judgement and know that whatever you view you do so willingly. And please don’t act like you are 12. Because then I will get rid of you.

15. And last but not least. If you want to advertise a similar community, tell everyone that you’ve got an awesome site (slash-related, of course), search for a fic/author, look for advice (LOST slash-related), ask about finding another community, give a challenge, or just put out a question (wait, what was the name of that French lady?) you MAY do so. But label, label, label. And don’t spam. Otherwise, I’ll banish you.

And along these lines, please pimp the community. We want to grow!

And if we get bored I might do a challenge myself. You never know.
