| just_muse_me is a community based on the concepts seen in similar comms such as theatrical_muse, muse_shuffle, writers_muses etc. We are not linked or affiliated to these comms in any way, and just exist as another place muse and muns alike can have fun and be creative. The concept of just_muse_me is simple. We're here to offer a variety of prompts to a variety of muses that hopefully inspire a variety wonderful and interesting responses. | HOW TO APPLY | |||||
| To apply for a muse at just_muse_me, please first check to see your muse isn't taken on our TAKEN MUSES LIST. If he or she is available, please see our APPLICATION POST for details on how to apply. Please ensure you read and familiarise yourself with the rules below before applying and wait until your application has been approved before clicking to join both the main comm and the fen comm, just_muse_fen. | |||||

| 1. just_muse_me will only accept one form of any muse. Out of fairness to members, we will not accept duplicate or double-up muses. We do have a Waitlist for taken muses. If you would like us to add you to our Waitlist for muses already claimed, please visit THIS POST. 2. Prompts are posted every month, at the beginning of each calendar month. There will be sixty (60) prompts in each set consisting of Quotes, Proverbs, Starting Points, Single Words, Give Me Ten, Five Plus One, Movie/Book Titles, Picture Prompts, and Lyrics. 3. Members are ALWAYS welcome to suggest prompts for future use and we encourage this at all times. Have something you want to see used as a prompt? Go to THIS POST and tell us. 4. Responses are to be posted to the main community, just_muse_me with their muse's tag. Your muse will be given a tag in your acceptance email (list of all character tags can be found HERE). It is important for us tracking muse activity that you tag all your entries to your muse. If you prefer to post the body of your work to your own journal, a link must be posted to the main community. 5. Members must respond to at least one (1) prompt every three months to remain active. Activity Checks will be carried out with prior notice. If you do not post at least once every three months, you will be taken from the comm and if your muse is canon, the position could be offered to someone else if the muse is being held on our Waitlist. It is the mun's responsibility to ensure their muse is up-to-date. We will not chase mun's to post when an Activity Check is pending. 6. The minimum word length for each response is 100 words. The maximum is whatever you want it to be. We also understand that sometimes muses have a very distinct way of responding so if you fall below 100 words in one month, it will not be a problem. 7. Applications for muses are accepted on any day of the week but bear in mind that RL will always come first, so approvals may still take some time. If you do not hear from the mod after a week, feel free to email again, or nudge with a long, pointed stick. 8. Please include your muse’s full name and any aliases (eg. Arthur Hubert Fonzarelli aka The Fonz, or Fonzie) in your applications, so that mods will know exactly who the character is, and just in case they’ve been living under a rock they can acquaint themselves fully with the muse. Also do the same on any introductions, or posts for the community. 9. All members must post an introduction post upon acceptance to our fen comm, just_muse_fen so other members have a chance to meet, greet and get to know your muse.10. No wank please. We’re all adults (allegedly), so please just be kind to your fellow duplicates, muses, muns and local wildlife. If there’s any wank that the mods get a wind of there will be dire consequences that will range from strapping you in a chair and force feeding you Engelbert Humperdink records, to putting you in THE COMFY CHAIR! 11. No really, in all seriousness—do not engage in wank. No one really cares, and no one has the time. 12. Mods reserve the right to reject applications, however you will be given a reason and can always re-apply. 13. If, for any reason, we face administrative issues regarding the conduct of members, moderators hold the discretion to change the rules as necessary. We endeavour to have a comm that remains as issue-free as possible and hope we do not have to take such actions, but if such changes become necessary, they will be notified via a mod post to the comm.
