[NEWS] Juri's new movie: Gorilla...Butterfly?
YES! At last, a new movie role~ =D





ALTAMIRA PICTURES is currently recruiting extras for a new movie they're producing called Gorilla Butterfly (proposed title). And the lead is Ueno Juri! Co-produced by Amuse(Juri's talent agency), the movie is slated for release nationwide from the fall of 2009 onwards. For details of the recruitment, go here.

Here are the main cast members:

Cast:
Ueno Juri - Goriko (Onigawara Sakura)
Ootake Kazuki - Coach
Uchi Hiroko - Macchan
Ogura Hisahiro - Father

Goriko...?? Little gorilla is her character's nickname?! LOL~ X3 Not gonna go too deep into that yet...
Okay, first Miura Haruma now Uchi Hiroki? Er...And the other 2 are pretty much comedian types. From the proposed title itself, we'll probably have another quirky movie in the vein of Swing Girls or KameHaya. Hopefully it will still have enough depth for Juri to flex her acting muscles with.

No summary of what the movie is about yet, but here's the list of extras they need, see if it helps in figuring out what kind of movie it is...

-Members of the press (wearing suits) - 20ppl
-Convenience store shoppers - 10ppl
-Supermarket shoppers - 15ppl (housewife only. bring apron plz...)
-Passerby for a shopping district - 100ppl (those who have experience carrying mikoshi aka portable shrine before are welcomed)
-Commuters in front of train station - 30ppl
-Salary man/OL coming home from work - 7ppl
-Live event at Akihabara, fans and those related to entertainment circle - 40ppl
-Train commuters, salary man, students - 100ppl
-Athletic meet, adults and children - 100ppl

Um...speculations? Somehow Densha Otoko came to mind when I saw trains and Akihabara...lol.

dang, I should've learned Japanese... actually, I should've been in Japan for that. xD I think I can be a great 'fan' in the Akihabara event xD

I think only lucky ones get lines as extras...So, you can still be one without knowing Japanese. =D But the hard part would be being in Japan huh? I'd volunteer for the salary man/OL since there are only 7 people...less 'competitors'~ >:3

Winter drama? Hmm, I don't know. Unless it's just a small role or one-shot episode like Lost Time Life, probably not. She'll be busy filming this for the next couple of months at least. Straight to work after Pusan...hope she takes care of herself. Seems like another role that requires a lot of energy. ^^;

Gu~Gu~ kinda filmed around the same time last year. LF came out in spring...so we can expect a new drama by Spring 2009. Hopefully.

Oh, only in summer? What will you be doing there? The scenes with the extras seems to be mostly this month and early next. So...too bad for you. Perhaps her next drama eh? ^^;

i visit japan every summer.
this past summer, i stayed there for a month and a half.
this coming up summer, i want to stay there for at least two whole months.
i LOVE japan. i wanna live there!!!

Wow, summer holidays in Japan? That's really cool. Do you have relatives staying there or something? Else it'll probably burn a hole in your pocket staying there for almost 2 months.

Well, since she's got a coach here...my wild guess is this will be a sports movie, or related to sports in some way. =) Maybe Juri's main character is a champion female wrestler or boxer, LOL. "Float like a butterfly, Sting like a bee". The little gorilla floats like a butterfly....or something.

Ah! Or maybe the title hints that she transforms from a gorilla into a beautiful buttefly (figuratively speaking) at the end of the movie. :P

I'd volunteer to be a member of the press so I'd have an excuse to point my camera at Juri's face and take as many photos as I want. XD

ROFL!! XD Yeah, good point. There's a coach in it PLUS an athletic meet. Er, I doubt it's boxing though there have been some people who said Juri looked like she had been working out. Lol~ The athletic meet is also to be filmed last. Doesn't mean it's chronologically last but should be the climax part of the movie. The shopping district... is probably where Goriko's family lives in? Though press members and live event suggests something else. ~_~

Hopefully it's not another 'ugly duckling' turns into a swan and handsome guy falls in love with her type of movie...Nah, I doubt it. There should be a catch somehwere...

Apparently...but I got the main cast list from what was posted at 2ch so yet to be 100% confirmed. Official news should be out soon.
