I just finished watching Jodan Ja Nai! I've heard of a lot of people not particularly liking this drama, but I thought it was cute! I love Juri as always, so maybe that swayed my view of it ^_^

My favorite work of Juri's is in Last Friends, but besides that and Swing Girls I haven't seen much else...
What are your favorite Juri moments? I would love to continue to watch her in more and more dramas and movies!

Killer Virgin Road Full Synopsis

Hiroko is a loser. She is about to get married to the handsome Kenichiro when disaster strikes. Her landlord stops by the happy bride-to-be’s apartment where a pair of wayward scissors falls from a shelf and stabs him in the back as he bends forward to pick something up. His body begins to stiffen even before Hiroko realizes what has happened.

Ueno Juri, portrayed a motocross racer who exhibits riding skills in the drama Last Friends. Apart from those bike-ridings and her charisma as a racer who loves bikes, the next thing that left the audience deep impression would probably be the real competition scenes. The person who was in charged of all related motocross coordination work, the decoration of these scenes and the creation of the atmosphere as if there really was a national competition, is coach Takagi from Eagle Racing Team -- our interviewee.

Together with Juri-chan, they would deliver the message: "Changing insecurity into relief" to promote the latest ORIX CURE insurance. Juri's new movie, Killer Virgin Road (KVR)'s official site is finally open.

Trailer - Killer Virgin Road

The Official website for Killer Virgin Road, actor/DJ Goro Kishitani‘s directorial debut, recently went live with a trailer for the film. The project was previously going by the working title “Dead Heat Virgin Road” and is a co-production between TBS and Amuse. Distributor Toho will be releasing it theatrically in Japan on September 12, 2009.

The plot, co-written by Kishitani and Izumi Kawasaki, revolves around a woman named Hiroko Numajiri (Juri Ueno) who triggers an unlikely chain of events the day before her own wedding ceremony that eventually leads to her running away with a suicidal woman named Fukuko Kobayashi (Yoshino Kimura).

Early birthday

The surprise!!
During the time when the rehearsal was about to begin after a short break, we returned to the room finding the lights went out and we didn't know why...
When Juri chan was still wondering 「?」, the staff appeared with a birthday cake, singing along 「Happy Birthday♪」. Presents and bouquets were also received.
To get all the blessings from the people who have walked all the way with her, Juri felt very happy.
Really thank you very much.

Hashida Awards

Based on her well-received acting/performance in Fuji TV drama series, Last Friends, Juri-chan has won Rookie of the year award in the 17th Hashida Awards.
When Hashida sensei said, "I am already your fan since Nodame" this kind of warm words, Juri-chan was bashful.
Besides, there was also a teary scene during her acceptance speech on the stage.
It was a great award presentation ceremony wrapped in a comfortable atmosphere.
