Alright people! So. Throwing in the towel for today. It's been a fairly productive day, I'm about 3/4 done with Amanda's section. Though I'm now beginning to realize that, mathematically speaking, my book, as of right now, (look at those comma splices) will end at around 40k or so. I can't imagine coming up short though, so I figure something will come up, some new characters will appear, or the current characters will reveal themselves to have more to them than I previously thought.
Anyways, excerpt time! Because I know my daily excerpts are the highlight of everyone's day ^.^

Poor Amanda. I'd like to say that I am not Amanda, she in no way represents me or my philosophy on life, but then again, that's probably why I don't have a boyfriend. So I can manage to sympathize with her, even though at first I didn't want to. And btw, prior to this scene she had spent all night studying in order to impress Robert. :-( everyone hug Amanda!

My goal this weekend was to get comfortably ahead so I can spend some time at the gym this week. I didn't get as far as I had hoped, but I'm less that 400 words away from meeting today's goal as of this posting. I can easily get that done at work this morning.

I posted this excerpt on the thread at the forums and it seemed to go over well, so I'm posting it here too.

You're insane. Psychotic-break, padded-room insane. )

Insane Writers - Writing Group
I have posted before about my new writing group, Insane Writers.

I would now like to know if anyone would like to be our first Interviewed Writer for the Insane Writers Newsletter?  It's very easy to do - I'll email you the questions, you answer them as fully as you can, and then email them back to me.

If you are interested, please email me at jenni1607@hotmail.co.uk telling me why you should be our first Interviewed Writer in around 200 words.  Include how long you've been writing for, and whether you've been published before (it doesn't matter if you haven't, and it won't go against you).

My JulNoWriMo Word Count at the end of Day 6 is:  7,876 words.

I'm a little behind, but guaranteed I'll make up for it today!

Good luck, and have a great writing day,

Jenni x

update.
Hi! I actually had a somewhat productive weekend. This is a story about Christy, she's a 26 year old writer for a television show based in LA, she met her finace Brian on set, he's an actor on the show. They've been dating for 2 years and Christy hasn't been home or seen the majority of her family in three years. She is coming home to help plan her mother's 60th birthday party but gets sucked into the family drama. There is bound to be laughs, tears, love, anger and good old fashioned family nonsense.

Some of the characters have evolved in ways I wasn't imagining but its so much better then I could have hoped. I am getting lots of inspiration from my own matriarchal family that I know will be able to appreciate this family of high strung women. This is a small excerpt from my story, the majority of the female cousins are sitting around the table supposed to be planning for Christy's mom 60th birthday but are side tracked with old jokes.

It's Not Really San Diego

gaining some, losing some...

i nearly caught up today. i'm starting to get a little worried that the story i had in mind won't last 58,000 words. well, i won't know till i finish it, if it doesn't than i'll add a prologue. but right now i'm laughing at Paris when it Sizzles, which won't help me write the scene i need to write right now.
