| Like to shop? |
[06 Feb 2008|01:20pm] |
Hey everyone!
My name is Alexandra Olteanu, the PR intern at the Canadian fashion label. Since we are conducting extensive in-house research on the best places to shop for edgy clothes, I thought our community is one of the best places to ask about this. Thought you guys would enjoy participating in our project. All you have to do is tell us what are your favorite places to shop in your city and/or around the world!
Looking forward to hear about your likes.
Alexandra Olteanu

| I just thought of the stupidest idea last night. And I'm actually doing it. |
[29 Mar 2007|02:50pm] |
From the Facebook group, which is here:
I'm looking for 5-10 people (but hey, the more the merrier!) who will band together with me in forming a Hard Gay army cosplay group at ACEN 2007 in Chicago, IL. Doesn't matter your sex, build, height, size, hair color, hair length, whatever. And it's ok if your costume isn't positively perfect. With this late of notice, we're probably bound to be a little ragtag. But damn... an entire army of Hard Gay? Could you honestly resist it?
Please join the Facebook group, and/or send me an email at LCBARR07 AT GMAIL DOT COM and let me know if you're joining up with the gayest cosplay army ever! I will fill you in on more details, meeting location, which day(s) we're dressing up, etc.

[11 Mar 2007|02:04pm] |
Hello all, I have a plug!
Project: Jrock Events (USA) Project: JRock Events (USA) is a project I started to help inform the masses of JRock-related events in the USA so that more fans can attend. The purpose of this is that the idea of more fans attending shows that fans are willing to go to these events and encourages future events (including concerts). We began as an LJ community ( jrock_events_us , please join!) but today is the grand opening of the official Project: JRock Events website. Please come check it out! (clickies on th banner above!) x-posted....

This place seems pretty empty, but I figured I'd give it a shot.
First question, does anyone live in or around St. Louis Mo. STL seems more like that rap capital then the j- ... well anything capital.
If you do, do you know if there are any like, Asian markets, or places that I could buy some cds from? I'm in a position where I can't really buy on-line (damn credit cards) and I don't know of any place around here like that. But then again, I don't live downtown, so I wouldn't know all thaaaat much. >.<; It just seems like there would be something here! I mean, I've not experienced a giant Asian population, but some. I can't believe that all was have (no offense!) are Mexicans here. There are so many Mexican markets around here!
Anyways, I'd love you dearly if you could help. &hearts

Hello~:D So.. I hope this is allowed..I have a question. I'll be in Michigan (Rockford) in a few days. It's the first time ever I'll be in america so I'm pretty helpless if it comes to find shops where I can find Jrock CDs and mags. So.. anyone there who can tell me where to go? Same goes with Chicago cause I'll be there for about four days. A name of a shop would help me a lot :D

Hello everybody~! I finally found you!
Okay, so! The whole point of this community is to bring together JRock fans in the midwest. Yes, so! I recently started working on a project--Project: JRock Events (USA). My main goal with this project is to get some numbers up and running for the midwest area and perhaps attract some JRockers to, say, Chicago. I know I won't be able to attract anyone right away, however. T_T But I was hoping you guys would help me with that!
Please check out my community, jrock_events_us. I'm currently working on organizing a JRock panel at ACen, too, so if anyone was planning on attending ACen, let me know if you'd be interested! (If I seem a little frenetic right now, and incoherent or confusing, just check out my community. It's much more direct and to-the-point)
And because I feel like it... SILLY GOD DISCO from The GazettE's NIL CD. Enjoy! ^_^

| Dir en Grey INDIANA |
[11 Sep 2006|02:44pm] |
Ok so finally, I got to see Dir En Grey. Wooo... But... I did not get to do the meet and greet like all the other crazy fans did....$20 to get a Cd signed and shake Kyo's hand for 2 sec...I don't think so.... Why wait in line for hours...to shake his hand when I can stand near the table and stare at him??

Just got back from the Alpine Valley concert not long ago. How'd the rest of you who went like it?
Got to shake Kyo's hand. Almost died. Best. Moment. EVER. 8D It was far too brief, but MAN. Such wonderful smooth hands. *__* Worth waiting in line for 40 minutes for.
*will remember it forever*

Dir en grey tomorrow! Are you excited? I'm excited.
So, ah, who's all going, here? Can I get a show of internet hands?
Also, stupid questions (just to assure myself):
-Show starts at 2 PM, right? Whenabouts do you think one should aim to arrive so as not to miss anything? (I know how concerts almost always tend to start late...)
-Was a meetup ever finalized? I dunno if I'll be wandering around or not, but here's me, so if you spot me in the sea of people rockin' out, feel free to come and poke me. XD (Just remember to tell me where you know me from, because otherwise I'll be flabbergasted.) I'll be with my slightly out-of-place looking boyfriend, who isn't actually a Deg fan but IS a darling, and so is going with me, anyway. If you wanna hang out I'd be happy to. ^_^ I love meeting fellow fans.
-Are there any rules for the venue, such as "no bringing your own soda/water bottles/bags of Cheetos/hookers/etc." that I should know about? I checked out the main page for Family Values, but if it was there I am dumb and missed it entirely.
I'm a concert virgin, so please excuse my naive ignorance, here.
Hope to see you there!
