(And The Muns Who Love Them)

This is a community for jrock (and other music/entertainment) muses (from anywhere) who are heterosexual. Muns are free to join as well. This is a predominantly uber community.
Jrock Het is a place where straight (or frustrated bisexual) muses can vent, chat, seek support, or just socialize and discuss society among peers. Jrock Het is a place where muns can chat or vent about the things they and their muses get up to in a world that is 95% gay. Jrock Het can be used for networking - making new friendships is always encouraged.
Jrock Het is a safe space, meaning that flames and cruelty will not be tolerated, and that what is said here stays here. Muses and muns alike are free to speak their minds and not be judged for it (as seen below there are exceptions for hatespeak, which is not tolerated anywhere).
Why this is here:
JrockHet was created because the overwhelming sexual orientation in jrock and jmusic rpgs is homosexual. The lack of women and the lack of straight men lead the few muses that are largely alone and somewhat outcasted. Often times a single muse will be the only straight guy present in his entire band, social group, or record label. Female muses are often seen as novelties, cheap hook ups, or otherwise just ignored. Due to the often extreme and excessive amount of importance placed on sexuality/romance in jrock games, muses who aren't eligible in the dating pool get frustrated, angry, and lonely, even if "hooking up" with someone isn't on their to do list, and they simply would like to hang out with someone who they can relate to.
What this is NOT:
Jrock Het is NOT a gaybashing community. While muses are free to vent here, anti-gay sentiments will not be tolerated. Muses who join here almost undoubtedly share headspace with gay and bisexual muses. Gay and bisexual muses are our brothers, bandmates, and dear friends - this is not an "us vs them" community.
Jrock Het is not here for you to troll for cyber sex, hookups, or Mary Sue scenes. Networking and making a friend or coincidentally getting a date is one thing, but posting specifically looking for someone to have sex with your muse or your self insert character is not permitted.
Rules:
01. NO COMMUNITY OR GAME ADVERTISEMENTS. Please see the links section if you would like to advertise your game, or are looking for one.
02. Absolutely no hatespeak or gay bashing. As said before, this community is a place where peers can come together and vent or discuss about their situation(s). It is not a place to be hateful toward others. Those who cannot grasp that distinction will be asked to leave.
03. Respect each other. Remember that even if you disagree with someone, you both have a responsibility to behave with integrity. Do not make fun of someone else or put them down; the nature of this community lends itself to a lot of whining - if that bothers you, please just be the bigger person and scroll down.
04. Keep outside vendettas or grudges out of the comm. If you have a problem with another muse IC, or if you have problem with another mun OOC, and you find yourselves all in this comm, please do not bring your animosity here.
05. Respect the Safe Space. Do not take information learned here about another muse and use it back at their game. This community is uber, and it is like Las Vegas - what happens here, stays here. Obviously we cannot police who does what with what is said here, but if you're just here to spy on someone, or if you're here to take this back and gossip, we don't want you here.

cd_jrock_rpg: CD Jrock RPG is livejournal's biggest jrock rp comm - it's where to go if you're looking for a game. It is maintained regularly and always kept up to date. Not much seems to slip by the moderator.
rp_personals: RP Personals is a community specifically for jrock role players looking for another muse or band to play with. Both muns and muses post there, though lately it seems to only be full of game ads.
premade_ljs: Free livejournal layouts! Where I borrowed the current layout from. Very nice.
jrockrpersearch: Jrock RP Search is a community where muns can look for people who have muses who'd like to play with theirs. There's a survey you fill out and post and people respond if they're interested.
jrockwantads: Muses seeking muses, bandmates, homes! Muns seeking company or homes for their muses, as well.
riot_box: Uber shenanigans! General venting space and hang-out for all muses.
