'One True Pairing'.
1) An acronym meaning 'one true pairing'.
2) The pairing one loves above all others.
When it comes to the widely diverse group of people who make up the general J-rock fanbase, it is safe to say that each of us cannot help but feel a type of affinity with each other, given the similarity in interest. However, this general population is sub-divided into smaller groups, usually centering around their favorite band or, digging even deeper, their favorite pairing. Semi-defined lines have established which pairings are 'the norm' and which are not, and many find themselves gravitating toward one specific circle. Of course, each pairing has its own appeal, but the norms are so strongly established that there is rarely an interesting new pairing to be found.
So here is the community challenge: throw aside your inhibitions. Write a pairing which people have never seen before. Make it work; show that there is no such thing as one true pairing.
Despite the fact that this community is dedicated to what many would consider "crack pairings", it is by no means a humour community. Granted a sense of humour will likely be needed, but the aim here is to show that good fanfiction doesn't always have to come from a tried and true source.
In short, the idea is crack. Not the content.
+ The relationships depicted in posted fanfiction, fanart, poetry, etc. may be either romantic or platonic.
+ Be nice to each other. In commenting, recognize the difference between 'flaming' and 'constructive criticism'. The former will not be tolerated.
+ Participate. Input from members is always welcomed, whether it be in the form of submissions, or ideas with which to further the community and its concept. Introductory posts are welcome as well.
+ If there is subject matter which some might find offensive (i.e. rape, abuse, suicide, drugs, etc.), warn us. Also be sure to post a rating on your material. You do not have to abide by the G through NC-17 rating system as long as the message gets across.
+ The lj-cut is your friend.
+ Obviously, do not post anything which is not yours.
+ Check with me, either through email or a comment on my personal journal, before advertising here. (Don't worry; chances are that you will be given the 'go ahead'.)
+ Keep an open mind. You'll need it.
