I've realized that the world of Josh Groban fanfiction is a small one...the largest collection is on the official boards, which is a mass of craziness and confusion. Being the OCD ADD perfectionist that I am, I cannot even set foot near any of it, for fear of losing my already-troubled mind. 0.o There are several wonderful forums out there, but it's so hard to get the word out about them.

So, since LJ has such a large and diverse array of members, what better place to post fanfiction? And so joshfics was born. It's sort of an experiment, since I have been unable to find any other JG fanfiction communities, so all of you will be my guinea pigs! *maniacal laughter*

Please Note: Please know beforehand that I am putting few restrictions on story content. Anything "adult" or "offensive" is required to be under a cut, but I don't want anyone to be shocked. So just in mind that you are likely to find some steamy stuff. Every type of taste and writing style is welcome here.

Okay, these are just a couple little things that I hope will keep the community orderly and pleasant. Please read all of them before posting.

What you need to know...

1. Though of course you aren't required to, I encourage everyone to join the community. Anyone can read the posts here, but you must be a member to have posting access. Also, certain chapters will be "friends-only" at the author's discretion.

2. Post whenever you want, whatever you want, questions, stories, whatever. You may certainly post without a story in hand. I enjoy freedom, so there are really no restrictions regarding posting, besides the obvious (place anything potentially "offensive" under a cut, be kind to other members, etc.)

3. Please put all stories under an LJ-cut to save people's f-lists. If you don't know how to do an LJ-cut, please ask. Or follow this link: http://www.livejournal.com/support/faqbrowse.bml?faqid=75 because it will explain lots of LJ code.

4. Just have fun. Don't worry about the quality of your story, but instead be proud of yourself for being brave enough to share it. :D

Regarding posting and fics...

1. When posting a fic, please include its title and rating. If the rating is R or higher, please include a warning. A summary might be a good idea too...it grabs the eye. Please post all stories under a cut. NO fake cuts, and no outside links.

2. This is a community for JG fanfics only. This means Josh should be one of the main characters in your story; no crossovers, please.

3. Please only post your original work. Do not post for someone else. Also, anyone caught plagiarizing will obviously no longer be welcome.

4. Please, please be sure to format and proofread your fic. It's really not so hard, folks. Get a beta. Use your spellcheck. Read it out loud to catch your mistakes. Learn some basic html.

5. Please look over the list of resources that I've saved in the memories. They're very helpful, and will save a lot of trouble.

6. Please, no slash. Mostly because I find it really squicky in general. But...I mean, come on guys. It's Josh.
