Jonathan creek When a man loves a woman (Song Written by Percy sledge) Part 1 This is a story about when two lines meet and cross past each other, because of lost moments and words that where never said. The story is about Jonathan creek and Madeline Magellan, as you know who they are I think you will know there short history together, her love for him and the fact that he could never tell her how he felt. This story will begin just after they slept together, it will begin in the Christmas episode when charlotte carnie drops Jonathan off at home and Maddie and Jonathan have an argument about her. Jonathan: My god, talk about having a winning line on the lottery, there is skid marks out there where she couldn’t get away fast enough, god Maddie what are you like? Maddie: I don’t know Jonathan what am I like, a comfy sweatshirt your happy to keep putting on day after day or a pair of underpants you can’t be bothered to change for a month. Jonathan: How did you….. Maddie: Look, it doesn’t matter okay, I’m so, so sorry I ruined your romantic night with charlotte She said sarcastically Jonathan: Look, Maddie I…. Maddie: No, well that’s what was going to happen wasn’t it, it was only supposed to take her 40 minutes to get you home, so I thought okay I’ll see him later then, when she’s gone. I came back 2 hours later and she’s still here, what’s was she doing here, I mean why did it take her so long? Jonathan could see tears forming in her eyes but he didn’t know why, he knew she would get jealous sometimes but this, he knew there must have been something more than jealousy but he didn’t know what. Jonathan: Well we went for a meal, you know just to catch up and stuff Maddie: catch up, oh how sweet Jonathan: what’s wrong, is there something you wanted to tell me? Maddie: Yeah, She said her eyes where still full of tears and Jonathan could see that she was hurt Maddie: Yeah, I did but you know what it doesn’t matter any more Jonathan: Maddie Maddie gets up to leave Maddie: Just leave me alone okay, I’ve gotta go, I’ll see you around sometime Jonathan: Maddie, please wait up Jonathan watched as she got into her car and drove away, Jonathan had never see her like this before, he wasn’t sure what was wrong but he knew it was something big he had never seen her so upset before, he didn’t realize that she was pregnant with his child, but then again he never gave her a chance to say. He went to her house the next day, he found the door slightly ajar and all her clothes had gone, he knew something was terrible wrong but he couldn’t get hold of her, her mobile was switched off all he had was her voice on answer phone, she was gone and that’s the last time he had seen or heard her. Jonathan creek When a man loves a woman (Song Written by Percy sledge) Part 2 4 months later Jonathan doesn’t work for Adam anymore he left and then Adam retired, things were never the same after Maddie left. He didn’t realize how much he felt for her until she was gone, well I guess you never know what you’ve got until its gone right. Well now he works in court as a solicitor, you know defending his clients and wearing a gown and a silly wig but anyway. Maddie was now a detective, working out how and why people had been killed and finding out who had done it. She was the boss of her team but she also had a boss of her, but he wasn’t very nice quite strict always wanted the best result from her but anyway. Maddie was now 6 months pregnant now and was soon due to leave work in about a month, she only had three months left and she was so scared but she had a guy to look after her, his name was Dave, oh and don’t worry he was gay so nothing was going to happen between them plus he was dating a guy called Adam, oh yes and don’t worry its not Adam Klaus. Dave: How was you day at work He said as he took her bag off her and gave her a kiss on the cheek. Maddie: Fine Dave: I know why don’t you put your feet up and I’ll make something for you to eat okay Maddie wasn’t that interested at food at the time she had been listening to the radio and heard Percy Sledge When a man loves a women it instantly reminded her of Jonathan she got upset and switched it off, it reminded her that she hadn’t told him yet about the baby, that made her even more scared. What was she going to do? Dave: Are you okay? Maddie: What, yeah I’m fine, I’m just tired, I’m gonna go to bed okay Dave: Yeah, yeah okay, night He said but he got no reply she just went to bed and cried herself to sleep, thinking about Jonathan and how much she loved him, she missed him so much.
