Hayashi Boarding School of the Performing Arts is an alternate universe school for the boys of Johnny’s Juniors. You can control the life of your character; who they hang out with, who their enemies are, or even what their future may be. It all depends on how you play and portray them.

While boys are sent to Hayashi for education, their main focus is the performing arts. The students specialize in skills such as singing, dancing, and acting, and train here to hone these skills. Hayashi is a prestigious school known for producing many of the hottest actors, singers, and entertainers of our day. One of the greatest aspects for a student at Hayashi is the high chance of being scouted for a minor roll in a drama or TV show, or backup dancing and singing for a popular artist. The students are highly competitive, as only the best of the best will land a role, and the more roles they land the higher chance of success they will have when the graduate. Of course, it isn't all work and no play, and each student is encouraged to work with and interact with their classmates to make their experience at Hayashi the best it can be.

Handler Rules:

1. Hayashi is an AU (Alternate Universe) roleplay, meaning that the aspects of the real world don’t necessarily apply here. Unless decided beforehand between two handlers, none of the characters should know each other before reaching the school.

-If they have family relations, then they should have the same relationship here. IE Yamashita Shoon and Reon will be brothers, etc.

2. This is an all male roleplaying community, so expect to see some shounen-ai/yaoi/slash/etc. If you are uncomfortable with this, then it is suggested that you don't join.

3. All characters must presently be a Johnny’s Junior. No debuted groups are allowed.

-The Junior does NOT have to have a specific group to be played.

-If he has been in a different group in the past, he will be placed with his present group.

-Any future mix-ups in the group will be ignored. Meaning if in the future one boy leaves one group to become part of another, he'll still be in his old group.

-Minimum age limit for characters is 15, so if you're character is a minor, please change his age. If your character is 14 almost 15 that is fine, but other then that keep it 15.

4. Treat all of the handlers with respect, and take any arguments you may have to email, AIM, etc.

5. There is no set rating for this community. However, because minors may be seeing this board, and due to the age of some of the characters, please place a warning label on any board above a PG-13 level. All NC-17 posts must be locked.

6. For the time being you may only have one character. Depending on how many people we get, we may up it to two. Members are now allowed to have a second character, but only if they have been in the community for a certain period of time.

- The muse limit is set to three, so far.

- Applications for senpai members are accepted (Arashi, NEWS, KAT-TUN, Kanjani8, Kinki Kids, Tackey & Tsubasa, etc.). Some players prefer to have two juniors and a senpai but you can also choose to have three juniors.

7. You MUST fill out an application before you are able to roleplay. If you don’t have time to write an application immediately, you can reserve a character for a period of one week before the mods open him up again. Please check the Claims list before applying for a character.

-Please send an application, if you DON'T send in an application or place a character on hold then your APPROVAL to JOIN the community will be DENIED.

-You will receive either an acceptance or rejection letter depending on what character someone else has applied for.

8. Godmoding, power playing, etc, is strictly forbidden. You will get two warnings and then you are out.

9. Try and keep the characters at least slightly In Character. It may be harder for some of the less-known Juniors, but try your best!

-Their history can be entirely made up, but you should also try and go by what you know. Each groups specific community has a small mini-bio that can be used to help.

-As long as it isn’t COMPLETELY against their true self, you can make things up. Example: Asaka won’t like wasabi because… he doesn’t like it.

10. The school will follow the official U.S. time so that everyone is following the same time line. You can check here (TIME ZONE) to see what time of day it is.

11. Post at LEAST once a week. This is so other characters will know that you are not dead, but still alive. If you have to take a break, for vacation or something, please email both mods, and either one of us will post a headmaster announcement.

12. Whether in the form of a banner or a link, if you are a character please link back to this community.

13. If there are any questions you can ask them here.

14. Please also refrain from typing LiK3 tHiS aT aNyTiMe.

- Also refrain from using internet slang such as "u", "ur/u r" "thanx", "omg" or any form of leet language. The rule can be bent if your character is using internet communication or some mailing system. No abuse of it will be appreciated.

- We also insist on our players' ability to use correct grammar. Which is why we established a sample rule (please see rule 20). We give ourselves full right to reject an application because of the applicant's grammar skill level.

15. I prefer that all RPG posts stay within the community so that everybody knows what's happening. RPG journals can be use as long as you post a link of your latest post in the community.

16. Want to discuss a plot outline with someone? Have some questions for another member that you need to work out? Use this post for any in character RPG discussions.

- Other mean of communication between muses: hayashi_journal, the student's journal system. It's very similar to LJ (since it's on LJ). Please see the rules on that community's profile.

17. If you don't get an email about it after you've been accepted, make sure to comment on the address book so your name can be added to the list.

18. Since every new players should know how to play, our mod Kichi made a quite easy to understand 'tutorial' on an earlier post of the community: How to play in Hayashi.

- Please remember that only senpai/teachers are allowed to start a class thread.

19. Respecting the class rules is important. Please see them Here.

20. (New rule for new applicants) Due to some little incidents/complaints, this new rule was established. From now on, Hayashi applications will be requiring a sample of an RP entry with the applications. It does not need to be long, just enough to have a sample of the way you will play in our wonderful RPG.

Sample: Senga Kento was skipping and hopping happily around the school when suddenly, chance! He found a 5000 yen on the floor. With all this money, he could surely buy the new SMAP Album! Or even better, he could keep it for the school. He is the student council’s treasurer after all!

Though, Senga being the sweet boy he is, also thought about the real owner of this money. Surely that person worked hard to get that money... He frowned and stared at the banknote in his hand. The more he looked at it, the more he thought it should be in its true owner's wallet, where it really belongs.

So, he started to look around for the person who might have dropped this...
