This took me a lot less time than I thought it would, but I greatly enjoyed doing it! I decided to do a patriotic montage of scenes from John Adams and The Patriot, set to the theme song of the former. Two exquisite films.

Fun Fact: in The Patriot, Colonel Tavington is loosely based on a real-life officer by the name of Tarleton, who was known for his brutality. When Tarleton marched into Virginia and took Monticello, he narrowly avoided capturing Thomas Jefferson. Imagine the horrible consequences if he had!! =P

The National Trust for Historic Preservation has named twenty-five finalists of a million dollar donation trust meant for worthy historic structures in the greater Boston area. One of the finalists, of course, is the Church of the Presidents (aka UFPC where John and Abigail, and John Quincy and Louisa are buried). Which one will finally get the million dollar grant will be decided by vote -- so if you feel as I do about this wonderful beacon of true American patriotism vote early, vote often.
