Request Post v.2: Electric Boogaloo
Request stuff at any time! I tend to do the icons loosely in the order I get them (I'll try to be prompt :X). I don't really have any rules; I can't imagine I would be like "NO" at a subject unless it's like, "steamy lamb guts in the snow". "Flayed horses" was a pretty tough subject. You'd think there'd be more medieval apocalyptic work available online.



Comics: Anything! I think I'm probably best at DC characters, but I'm working on reading up Marvel titles too; other ... er, companies? Publishers? are definitely fair game. I do love me some Hellboy and Goon, even if I don't icon them as much. Stuff to maybe mention: if there are certain versions of a character you'd like to avoid or focus on (storyline, artist, era, universe, etc.), masked/unmasked, please stop putting that weird white border thing on there that you put to CLEVARLY DISGUISE there is not enough picture, etc.

PBs, Actors, Musicians: I like doing these for RP characters. I finally did tag most of the PB entries (I think) so there are some examples there. My style is ... odd X3 ... so check to make sure you can work with 'em. Other examples:
- Elliot Zielinski - Flickr model. Haha, um. I am sincerely sorry to this guy if he somehow stumbles across Elliot's journal.
- Josh Frohmeyer (Scud) - Norman Reedus. A slightly strange model-actor who never really made it big, but is in the movie most watched by all new college freshmen. (The Boondock Saints; Six Ways to Sunday; Blade II)
- Brenna Morgan - Flickr model/Joely Richardson. The latter is an actress I know nothing about. Fascinating, I know. (Nip/Tuck; The Last Mimzy)
- Quinten Brandt - Syd Barrett. The former lead singer of Pink Floyd.
- Jacqui Wedgwood - Charlotte Gainsbourg. A French actress. She also sings! (21 Grams; The Science of Sleep)
- Rem Garrick - Jonas Chernick. A Canadian actor. All his icons are from the movie Lucid, because, well, I can't find many pictures of him otherwise.

Thematic: you know! Stuff! Like objects, concepts/adjectives (stranger, carnivale, daedalien), specific artist's work, specific photographer's work, aphorism ("agent provocateur", "two for flinching", "the devil you know"), movies.


I baleet request-comments when I finish them, and the ones I can't/don't do I leave up in case I ever ... do them. Ahaha sorry.

Sweet! V and Evey from V for Vendetta (the graphic novel; I'm pretty sure it's DC) would be awesome, but don't restrict yourself. If it helps, there are some scans here, but I don't know how useful they are to you (I don't make icons ^^;).

If it isn't too much trouble. Love your icons by the way. :D

Thanks! I'm assuming you haven't read the book. It's really good! I haven't seen the movie, but I liked the book so much I pretty much had the library's copy for two months. XD The only reason I don't have it now is because it was late and I had to put it in a book drop so I wouldn't get fined (again).

Hey...I would like to say that I've been lurking around here for a while now, and I thought it was high time I expressed how wonderful I think your icons are. I go to various icon communities, and you have some of the best I've ever seen.

Anyway, about taking requests...do you need a person to give you an image to work off of, or do you find the pictures yourself?

Either works! Like if people only have 1-2 pictures of the kind of person they want, I'll use that as a guide when I start searching.

It is trickier with just a text description, but I do a wide variety so you can tell me "oh, #23 is pretty close, are there pictures of him/her with longer hair?" and whatnot. Without the refining process, I probably won't get it right, otherwise. X3

For Iceman, obviously movie ha ha but, there is also a comic based on the movie >_> .... I know, I know. But Bobby is in it WAY more than John is :D? :D?

Send Beast Boy to SHAKE HIS MONEYMAKER on the street corner so I has moneys to buy comics with him in it. :V

Issue 2 in which BB is a biiiit of a jerk >_>
Issue 3 in which Cy is emo and everyone else has a problem with their faces o_o
Issue 4 in which... oh god the art ;~; But I am a slightly OCD completist and there MIGHT be some useable panels. Maybe.

You seem to be flooded with requests, but I do have one that's terribly detailed. I have an RP character in the works I'm having a very hard time finding icons for. I'd prefer photographs but artwork would be acceptable as well. The trouble is finding a PB in the first place. The character should look like an overweight older gentleman, with a neatly trimmed beard and mustache. The best match I've found is Brian Cox, but not all his roles involve the right costuming and facial hair, and he's not nearly as heavy as I pictured the character. Here are images drawn by a friend, to give some idea of what I'm looking for. Any quite heavy gentleman in a suit would likely work if it's a heavily shadowed image from a distance. The main trouble seems to be is that no one wants to make icons of fat old men.

I'd also like to say that your icons are simply wonderful. I have a large number of them saved although I have no room to use them. The images you find are unique and stunning.

I came across an icon that you did some time ago entitled "upswept me": a pale dark haired girl in an Alphonse Mucha style in gold and turquoise.

I want that. Please. That icon, possibly showing more of the drawing and maybe a peacock or a river. She's the closest I've found to how I see the Orisha Oshun. This Orisha is characterized by the colors amber and gold and turquoise, by folding fans and peacock feathers, by rivers and proud, powerful feminine beauty. Possibly something animated?

In all seriousness, the first time I looked at your icons I didn't really think they were my thing. I added you anyway, and have come to realize that you have the best icons on all of LJ, in my opinion. So original and creative!!! I'm glad to have stuck with it, and I have a few requests, if you're so inclined. ;)

Architecture (in specific, bridges and stairs, I have a weird thing for them.)
More erotic pics (focusing on the male maybe? yay six packs and treasure trails!)
The Titanic (not the movie, the ship itself and it's history, if that makes any sense)

Not expecting you to do all of these, just throwing them out there as ideas. Keep up with the spectacular work!!!

I was surprised to see that you don't have a Superman tag -- I could have sworn that you did, but I guess not! I pawed through the general comics tag a little but I was probably clicking on the wrong posts. what I'm looking for is a couple of Superman (Supermen?) to call my very own.

I have some DC requests, mostly from specific comics.

From Identity Crisis, can I get an icon of the picture where Wonder Woman's in shadow and holding up her lasso? Mostly her face, please. In the TPB, it's right after where Jean Loring is hanging on the other side of the door.

From the two volumes of Hush there's two seperate scenes where Batman's being kissed (once by Catwoman and once by Talia al Ghul). Any chance I can get those?

Also, I'd like one of Mister Miracle/Big Barda. I can't think of any comics specifically where they're together, so it would be okay if you used something from the "Justice League Unlimited" episode "Miracles Happen (aka The Ties That Bind)."

Oh I will put my request here. :-) You sometimes find the most awesome 60's/70's theme icons. I would love more of those. Whether it be an art print/cartoon object or person I am happy with both!

Also girl lips! Exampls of both kinds of icons see my icons (Lots by you!) for further reference. Thank you, you are awesome!

:-) I'd love icons made from some of my cousin's photographs. I don't have any programmes or knowledge of how to make icons, and mine just look dull and out of focus, even if the photograph itself is sharp...

Any of these:
shadow dancing
tattoo
organist
floating heads
would be lovely!

I would love some icons having to do with rainbows! Pop art type things are my favorite. For instance, I love the rainbow umbrella icon you made (I'm using it as an icon for this comment if you need to remember!)

I was wondering if, maybe, you could make an icon with Crispin Glover as the theme. Particularly in his movies Charlie's Angels, Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle, and Willard. (Just none where he is kissing Drew Barrymore. And none of him dying please.) I understand it takes a while before you can get around to it but I am very very patient. Seeing Crispin Glover icons though would mean more to me than you can possibly imagine... to put it simply Crispin Glover is to me what Edward Cullen is to all them fan girls. And if you need pictures I will gladly hand 'em over. And I will definitely credit if you make some.

I love your icons and am currently sifting through them to determine which ones I will be using. But with so many superb icons it is so hard to choose!

ok, this might be a bit off-limits, but i just have to ask because i love the icons you make and i just don't seem to find pictures as nice as yours.

so, i'm addicted to hoods. i mean, if you put a hood on any clothing, i'll wear it. so, if you come across with pictures of hooded chicks (not those wizard-sort of hoods, but rather i-skateboard-and-take-photos-and-wear-a-hood-at-all-times-sorts) and feel they might make a nice icon, i'll be more than grateful. thank you anyways, i really really like your icons :)
