After chatting briefly with [info]sylvan over IM and then talking to the Special Events and Programming executives for Norwescon, we are investigating running a special event for the March Ji Dian Station game at Norwescon.

The idea is that the players would play their regular characters and pre-made characters with goals would be created for registered members of the convention to play. You will not have to have a convention membership to come play, but the convention is really enjoyable and you should come anyways.

I admit to being a very biased vote.

Stuart and I have been very politely informed by Sylvan that we should not only come to Norwescon but also help volunteer, which actually sounds like fun.

It would be much easier for us to attend game if it were Norwescon weekend.

Granted, by that point I may be so crazy that I just sit in a corner and bibble to myself.

Bias is okay in this regards. :)

And we all just sit in the corner and bibble by Monday anyways. ;)

I registered a room for Stuart and I when I got home Monday night.

I didn't choose the party floor, but other than that it didn't give a lot of options. I'm very excited though.
Hopefully we'll all be close.

Thank you though, I really wanted to get the reservations made before the hotel sold out.

One of the other benefits of being on staff is choosing your room. For example, [info]lunargypsie and I always take an ADA accessible room on the 3rd floor of the Tower.

That is one of the benefits. I believe Jim has already convinced me to put my... assets to work for the con.

The major benefits of nearby rooms is the spontaneous Snark BoF.

Who knows- by March, things may be very different- but for now, unless some miracle happens, I don't see myself being able to come to NorWesCon in the first place.

But I voted as if I was swimming in cash and would be able to go. LOL

Then we shall hope for a miracle. :)

I have absolutely no idea. I've never been to Norwescon so I would need to know exactly when it is, (and once again, even though I know I've asked before) what is it, where it is and essentially how much its going to cost to go before I can even begin to give you any sort of answer to these questions.

Let summarize for you:
What: Norwescon
When: March 20th-23rd, 2008
How Much: $50 till 12/31/2007, $65 (or so) at the door, if [info]sylvan or I can rope you into working for us, $20. Come on, you know you want to want work staff. ;)

I'd be happy to have you on my staff.

Can I play remotely from Reg?

(Link)

I will be on radio... heh

I did vote for Thurs Am, EARLY for a couple hours. That is the only time slated for me to be there, awake and not doing anything :).

However, if you need a walk on for half an hour, I could probably be persuaded to sneak away and help out NPC wise :)

Well, I know [info]lunargypsie was making noises at one point of watching Reg so you could play. If not, I'm sure we can do a walk on. ;)
