Screen caps from "The School for Scandal" (1975)
Hi,
Here are some screen caps from "The School for Scandal" (1975). Huge credit to frankymole for these. Does anybody have this? Because I would give anything to see it :)

Look - it's Lestrade from Sherlock Holmes

Bonus: Two screen caps from The Rivals

More lovely pics! The man looks good in tight pants. I would love to see this. Yeah for Colin Jeavons (Lestrade)! He is another favorite of mine.

I just bought the DVD set of Ian Richardson's (another favorite) House of Cards. Mr. Jeavons was excellent in that. Have you seen it? I could get some screen caps if you want.
Not sure how, but I found your gallery already. Very nicely done.

It'd be fantastic to see some caps from "House of Cards". I've never seen it.

My husband loaned the DVD set to my mother-in-law. Once I get them back I'll get some screen caps.

Oh, he sure does look great in tights. I think this man would look lovely in all kind of trousers :)

I'm still around! Though sadly not on Holmesian.net...

I grabbed those screenshots from "How to be 18th Century", a BBC Four comedy prgramme that sampled lots of period treasures from the archives... sadly, only as clips and often in musical montages without much dialogue. I would love to see them properly, too.

Hiya Frankymole,
Great to hear from you :) It's sad that these programmes aren't available but it's so great that you caught this show and gave us these wonderful screen caps. Thanks so much!

Thanks for such rare treasures. He looks wonderful in The Rivals, but slightly weird in The School for Scandal - with all this make-up he reminds me of Joker's younger brother. But on the last one from it, with his typical face expression, he looks marvelous. I don't know this play, was he a villain there?

Hi there,
You are very welcome! I'm not sure if he's a villain in this :)
