Screen Caps: The Bruce Partington Plans
Here are some screen caps of JB in The Bruce Partington Plans, one of my favorite episodes. First, you've got JB singing in the beginning. He gives a delightful little snort when he's complaining about the lack of stimulating criminal activity lately. There's Mycroft, who I just adore. I love their interactions, and how Sherlock refers to him as Brother mine. I'm also fond of the chop job JB did on his hair. And yes, we finally have a bit of Sherlock tongue! Twice! What's not to love?

How is it that a sulky, bored Brett!Holmes is SO DANG CUTE??

When other people are sulky and bored they're just annoying, but Brett!Holmes? Oh my garsh! :-)

I love how he stands in front of Watson, being all *sighs* and *pouts*, trying to get his attention. And Watson just goes on about reading his paper.

If your boyfriend did that, it would be Not Cute. It's amazing what you can get away with, cutenesswise, when you're a Beautiful Snarky Mastermind.

Watson is such a tolerant darling, isn't he? Lucky for Holmes! :-) *smooches Watson, pinches Holmes and runs away giggling*

Yeah. I had a significant other who used to do things like that. And it made me just want to punch him in the face. Not cute at all.

I use Photoshop 7. Sorry-- tools of my trade. There must be reasonably-priced image editors out there, but I don't know what they might be. :-/

I thought he referred to him as “Brother My” as in Mycroft. Am I wrong?

I love the little “dunce cap” Brett does when he’s just finished looking at the map. And the way he tips his top-hat forward with his cane. Oh, those little eccentric details!
And does anyone else think it’s just hilarious to see two Victorian gentlemen doing a spot of burglary in full Victorian regalia and top-hats? And I love how the only thing they steal is a couple of newspapers! *snort* How extremely diabolical!

And, I heartily agree, only Brett’s Holmes can get away with the sulky, bored antics and not be remotely irritating!

Oh, oh! I nearly forgot! I feel like his mother or something, but I just adore it when Holmes actually feeds himself. He needs it to stay alive, you know. And when Watson and Mrs. Hudson get worried about him because he isn’t taking care of himself, I’m always like, “You tell him! Make him some lunch, and force him to get some sleep!”

Naaahhh...it's "brother mine"...I think it's a JB-ism because in David Huggins' book "Me, Me, Me", his 'fictional' father (a British stage actor -- duhhhh) also uses the term "brother mine" a few times.

I'm SURE it's only a coincidence, though *ahem*

thank you so much! your dedication amazes. I don't think I have the ability to get caps, so this is fab. They are providing endless entertainment coming up with captions for my favorites.... *sigh* someday I'll learn how to make icons!

Do you know how to use Photoshop? I think that's the program most people use to make icons. Well, I do anyway, but I'm too lazy/busy to do really nice, artistic ones.

Oh, umm, Photoshop is really expensive, at least at Amazon.com . . . I just checked.

If you can't get it any time soon I'm sure someone on here will do requests. I'd actually take more time with an icon if I was doing it for someone else. With most of mine I just size a screen cap down and throw on a simple, readable caption. Although, I took more time with my "friends" icon (see above) because I did a bunch of scratches and stuff to make it look old. That's about the only one I put any effort into, pathetically enough. *smacks head*

I'm planning on doing more sepia ones (or just plain icons with more effort than resizing and boring fonts) but I have to get some work done first!

I'd happily make icons, just so long as I know exactly what you want. So feel free to make requests and I'll get around to them when I can, unless someone else does them first ;)
