I've made a new video, it might seem depressing for Christmas, but it's not meant to be. I just wanted to make a video using footage from The Cardboard Box because it seems no one watches it, and that makes me feel sad, because Jeremy put the effort in to make it despite being so ill. It does have some very charming scenes, and very touching scenes, like the end speech. I thought the lyrics of the song suited well too. Jeremy was still Jeremy, and he still shined in Cardboard Box.

Christmas Dream
Lyrics

I sit at home
Look out my window
Snow all around
I hear a sweet sound
I see Santa Claus
Dream of a sleigh ride
And angels sing a song

Tonight your eyes shine like a christmas dream
Silent night you've found your way to me
Eyes shine like a christmas dream
Your light inside my heart

Inside your smile
My world is turning
Sweet scent abounds
All candles burning
You paint the christmas stars
On painted heaven
And angels sing a song

Tonight your eyes shine like a christmas dream
Silent night you've found your way to me
Eyes shine like a christmas dream
Your light inside my heart

Tonight your eyes shine like a christmas dream
Silent night you've found your way to me
Eyes shine like a christmas dream
Your light inside my heart

I was watching a video from a talk show in which Jeremy and two women were discussing cancer. The women were cancer survivors. Jeremy pointed out that you never get over losing a loved one. You live with it but do not get over it. He said that he never gave up hope that Joanie would live; that hope is always there to the very, very end. The compassion he displayed in speaking of his very private pain astounded me. Having lost my beautiful husband to cancer, I agreed with what he said; I have been there. He was right on! You don't lose hope at all. He spoke of almost being able to see her spirit leaving upon the moment of death.

To paraphrase a line from "The Abbey Grange", this man rings true every time!! Not only was Jeremy an unbelievably gifted actor, unbelievably handsome (so easy on the eyes), but he had this great love and the ability to bare his soul unabashedly to help others understand the pain of loss. He got it! It helps so much, especially this time of year, to have someone who understands grief and how painful it is. Thank you Jeremy...

As the holidays are fast approaching, I thought I would wax poetic about one of my favorite Sherlock Holmes episodes "The Blue Carbuncle". I love the Victorian era Christmas. And Holmes in his brown dressing gown is one of the most beautiful sights around. His messy hair and slicked back hair, his resonant and throaty "No, no, no" to Watson's comments. His humor surfacing when donning the too large hat. The man is perfection.

I enjoyed watching Holmes' misplaced anger at Watson when letting Ryder go, his disgust at Ryder's pathetic pleadings for mercy and his seldom seen kind side not wanting to make him (the thief) a jailbird forever. Holmes and Watson putting aside their own Christmas celebration to release the wronged John Horner from jail. It is a heartwarming story. I also like the dichotomy of the happiness of the poor Horner family, desperately trying to make their children's Christmas happy and the miserable albeit fabulously wealthy Countess of Morcar.

I love The Blue Carbuncle and watch it repeatedly. Comments??

Latest bid news here

I am doing my bit to support Cadbury's by buying their chocolates and even a hot chocloate drink as well!! Very nice actually if anyone wants to try it I also keep up to date with Cadbury's shares on my HTC Touch Pro 2 mobile. Not that i have any shares, but it is just another way in which i can show my support ! I urge any UK residents reading this to do the same. It is a lovely way to remember Jeremy as well !! :)

I've done some screencaps from the 1974 series about Winston Churchill's mother, Jennie, Lady Randolph Churchill. Jeremy played Count Karel Kinsky, the Austro-Hungarian ambassador with whom Jennie had an affair, in two episodes.

( Caps here at my journal, but beware of the false moustache... )

Okay... so I have finally finished my video about the Memorial Walk!   \o/  \o/

Problem: Youtube has rejected it due to it's length, so I have to re-edit it (*sigh*) and shorten it by approx. 4 minutes.

Anyway, in the meantime you might want to have a look at the original version the way I had intended it. It is available for download

Hello everyone,

Just thought this might be relevant to this communities interests. I've just started a community dedicated to bringing monthly discussions about the canon book series for Sherlock Holmes, and weekly/bi-weekly discussions on episodes of the Granada series productions of Sherlock Holmes, staring the wonderful Jeremy Brett ♥

If you would like to join us, we would love to have you. The first watch-along will be posted on December 1st!

In 1994 I found the Sherlock Holmes episodes on PBS while living in Florida.  I made my husband sit with me every Monday night to watch each episode and we reveled in them.  When one evening Jeremy's death was announced, we were shocked and saddened.  Fast forward to now, back home in New York State, I have again found Jeremy and have purchased all of the Sherlock Holmes videos.  Sadly, my husband passed away in 2008 of stomach cancer (again cancer rears its ugly head) and he is not here to enjoy these wonderful legacies Jeremy left.  Thank you all for posting excellent photos and videos of our Jeremy.

Unfortunately I did not have the chance to make something for Jeremy's birthday this year, but I did find a picture that I'd like to share! I hope people haven't seen it before!

It's from Rosmersholm, by Ibsen. It was produced in 1973 at the Greenwich Theatre. Unfortunately, he doesn't look very happy!

Sorry i am a bit late with this. Have been so busy of late. However i took the time today to go the Cathedral and light candles for Jeremy and Joan as it would have been their birthday's today. This is my video tribute to them!!

The music is Native American Cherokee. I was thinking of Joan when i chose the music so that the video would be a tribute to both of them.  Hope you enjoy it !! :) Oh and i went to work today with my red socks and red tee shirt. I also took in some Cadburys cakes for my colleague to celebrate as well. They all know today would have been Jeremy's 76th !! Hahaha !! :)

I couldn't have Jeremy's Birthday go by without making a video. So I muscled up the necessary willpower, despite not feeling on top of the world, to make this video during the early hours of this morning.

A humorous Jeremy Brett birthday video, because Jeremy said laughter was the greatest gift of all!

I laughed for the first time in a over a week while helping my brother (who stars) make this video. Jeremy's laugh can't fail to make me laugh, he had such a wonderful gift of making others happier from a far. I am just sorry my own birthday video isn't ready in time for this great day. Though I celebrate the fact Jeremy was born everyday. My video coming soon, soon as I'm well again.

Happy Birthday Jeremy! Love to you always...
