I am a bad mod... we have no entries for the last challenge.
I don't know what to do to make this comm more active. Challenges only work when there are people participating in them, and while we did have relatively strong participation, it's dwindled down to two people and then none. I can't make people make icons and post them here. If anyone has any ideas, please comment and make a few suggestions.
Maybe a co-mod would be a good idea, someone to take over when I'm busy with RL.
The challenge is still open if anyone wants to enter...
Like I said, comment and suggest anything. |

Details: There are three images. Two were wallpapers originally posted on the CATS video website (now defunct) and one's a scan from The Musicals Of Andrew Lloyd Webber. There is no limit on the theme/design.

Same rules as before. Each icon you nominate for first, second and third gets 3, 2 and 1 points respectively. Please don't vote for yourself (I can tell, y'know) and vote for the best one. Encouragement awards are not the same ones you voted for first place.

Details: There are three images I've grabbed off the internet. One's from either the Korean or Greece production and is very pixelated, so the challenge there is to make a decent icon out of it (trust me, it can be done!), the second's from the London, 1994 production and the third one's a cap from the DVD, There is no limit on the theme/design.

Okay, so I've neglected this comm. I'm going to push through the last lot of entries for the December challenge, and we're going to do the voting a little differently than before. Instead of doing a poll, it's going to be done in comments.
You do not vote for yourself. I've been noticing that a lot in the voting. It's not fair. If you honestly believe your icon deserves to win, then the votes will probably reflect that. Comments will be screened and IPs logged.
We're going to do a new system of voting, taken from ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/community.gif) pirates_hush. Your choice for first place gets three points, second, two points, third one. At the end, I'll add up the points and the highest-scoring one wins. The encouragement award is a separate nomination. It's designed to say "Yes, this is good, but keep trying to improve!" The icon you've nominated for the encouragement award cannot be your first place choice, okay?
If there is call for me to unscreen the comments, I will do so.
Voting lasts for 2 weeks. On Monday, June 4, results will be posted.

Hi, i'm new to this community! These icons are a bit older (oct/nov 06) But i saw Cats again in Holland yesterday and I was browsing the internet for Cats-sites and then I found this community! I hope to post more icons in the future, I probably will, i'll go see Cats again in July! :D I can't wait!

OK, I know I've been slack with this community. I've been very busy, what with Christmas and holidays and now starting university, so I've kind of let it slide. I don't want this to die, though.
As it is no longer the season, the Christmas challenge is now cancelled. Congratulations to the winner (and only entrant), vintage_belle!
The free-choice challenge is still going. A reminder of what it entails:
Any image, any character, any theme. It's your turn to select your favorite icon(s) that you've made in from 23/11/06 onwards and have us vote for the best overall icon. It can be animated, still and/or textless - just make sure you love it! Above all, DO NOT stick to the caps only. There are thousands of gorgeous stage pics out there. Share the love of the stage show!

I meant to post this yesterday and posted it in the wrong community. *facepalm* Anyway, the December challenge has two different entries, and starts today, and finishes in December 17, so you have a longer period to play with. This is because (a) it's 2 challenges roled into one post and (b) I'll be away from net-access until December 15, will have jetlag.
Rules: There is no limit on the number of entries you can make. You have over three weeks to post them. Entries dated 17 December or later will not be accepted.
You can post any kind of icon. You must use the images provided. The icons must follow LJ standards – under 40kb and dimensions max of 100x100. You can use stock images, textures and brushes. The icon/s must not be previously made, and you cannot post the icon elsewhere until voting concludes and the winners are announced.
Post your entries to this post in a screened comment, with the title of the challenge you are responding to. No more than 1 challenge per entry. Then, I will upload them onto my photobucket account and post them in a poll after I have all the entries uploaded. Voting will end a week after the poll is opened. Depending on the number of entries, there will be a first and second winner, as well as an encouragement award and a mod's choice. There may be a third place if numbers allow.

As its Christmas, make your work Christmas themed! Make Deuteronomy Santa and Misto his elf! Aren't you just dying to see Tugger wear a Santa hat and play the bagpipes?

The voting is over. We have first and second place, and one for the encouragement award. There is no mod's choice because I'm not a mod. I'm also not going to do make any banners for first and second, because they were both icons that I made.

In light of the fact that only myself and rizzyr made icons for this challenge, and that Thanksgiving is coming up, does anybody want a Thanksgiving challenge? Or should we just wait for our mod to be free again? |

I'll be taking over for this challenge as a practice for next week's challenge, which our mod won't be here for. Here goes.

You can post any kind of icon. You must use the images provided. The icons must follow LJ standards – under 40kb and dimensions max of 100x100. You can use stock images, textures and brushes. The icon/s must not be previously made, and you cannot post the icon elsewhere until voting concludes and the winners are announced.
