je_challenge is a fanfic challenge community dedicated to the wonderful pairing of Jack Sparrow/Elizabeth Swann of Pirates of the Carribean.
RULES
- This is a Jack/Elizabeth challenge community. If you do not like this pairing, then stay away!
- No off-topic posts. We are here to post fanfiction about this lovely couple, to let our Muses speak - anything off topic post will be deleted and the user will be given a warning, and if it persist, the user will be banned.
- No bashing is allowed. Anyone who is bashing will immediately be banned and will not be welcome back.
POSTING
Each member of this community will have posting access. So if you have a J/E fic that meets the challenge requirements, or a J/E fic in general, then feel free to share it with us! :) There are, however, a few guidelines...
o1. When posting fanfic, please remember to include the appropriate info (title, summary, rating, disclaimer, etc.).
o2. Please, when posting an entry for a challenge, put "challenge entry" somewhere in the subject line of your post so that we know it's an entry for the challenge.
o3. Please submit only ONE J/E fic per challenge!
o4. Posting graphics with your fic is totally allowed. We only ask that if it is a large picture, that you either a) place it under an lj-cut along with your story or b) size it down to fit the LJ window.
CHALLENGES

phoenix212 on a Sunday. Users will have the next two weeks to submit their fics. The deadline for fics will always be a Sunday. Voting will begin the following Monday morning after the Sunday deadline and will last roughly until Thursday. You may vote at any time during this period. On Friday the winner(s) will be announced and a new challenge will be posted the following Sunday.
WINNERS
If we have more than 3 or 4 fic entries, there will be up three winning places, but otherwise there will usually just be one winner.
ENTERING
o1. All fics must be placed under an lj-cut.
o2. Please submit your fic anytime during the submission period inje_challenge.
o3. Make sure to put "challenge entry" somewhere in the subject line of your post so that we know it's an entry for the challenge.
o4. If you feel more comfortable with locking your fic entry, then go ahead and lock it.
o5. Ratings are from G to NC-17. For each challenge you may use whatever rating you want.
o6. If your challenge entry has mature/sexual/violent content then please put a warning in the post. If you do not do this, you will receive a warning, and if the problem persists, you will be banned.
o7. Please make all of your fic entries NEW! Do not submit fics that you have submitted before for other challenges, or fics that have been lying around on your computer for months and just so happen to fit the challenge requirements.
o8. You must be a member of the community in order to vote/win. All votes made by anonymus people will not be counted.
o9. Please submit only completed fics!
VOTING
o1. When voting time approaches, there will be a poll. Please only vote for one fic!
o2. Only vote once! If you vote more than once then your vote will not be counted.
o3. Please, do not vote for your own fic. If you vote for your own fic, your entry and vote will be disqualified.
o4. All members of the community can vote. :-D (obviously!)
PROMOTING
If you would like to promote this community, you are more than welcome to. But please keep in mind a few rules before doing so...
o1. Please do not promote this comm in someone's personal journal or in comments, especially if you do not know the person. Promoting a community in a comment of someone's journal is against LiveJournal's TOS, and can be very annoying. We want to keep this community fun and not have people dislike it because some members are being rude by promoting it in people's comments/journals.
o2. If you would like to promote this community in your own journal, in one of your entries, etc., then you are more than welcome to. Your journal is you own personal space and you can do with it what you wish. :)
o3. Please obey the rules of other communities! If a community does not allow other community promotions in it, then don't promote our community there! Please remember and respect that rules for all communities are different.
o4. Please do not promote other communities here! If you have a single sentence at the bottom of one of your posts, then that's fine, but do not post just to promote a community! Anyone who is posting just for the sake of promoting will be given a warning and if it continues, the user WILL be banned.
Failure to follow these rules will result in a one-time warning, and if you continue to break the rules, then you will be banned and will not be welcome back. So please abide by the rules!
