If you won't be able to finish the challenge in time, please let me know as soon as possible so I can call in a pinch-hitter. If you need an extension, please let me know as soon as possible--I can probably give you one, but I'd rather know sooner than later.

To Submit A Finished Story (If you have not already sent it in to Mandy.)

Save your story as a text file with paragraph breaks indicated by spaces between the paragraphs. You should be able to save as a text file in any word processing program. If you need to add any formating, please use brackets. [ b ] for bold, and [ i ] for italics. Otherwise, it will mess with the coding.

E-mail the story as an attachment to shallowesque [at] gmail.com with "JBBS" somewhere in the subject.

Include the following: your name, your recipient's name, your story title, the rating, a summary, and any warnings and/or author's notes.


If you need any help with anything, please let me know. Otherwise, go forth and write! You have just over 48 hours left...

I am currently on hospital bedrest for unknown and continous (8 days counting) internal bleeding, as well as possible damage to my heart and lungs.

I'm on various treatments for these things which take a hard toll on my body (because, of course, the cure has to be worse than the ailment) and I'm having a lot of trouble keeping up with JBBS as a result.

Is there anyone who could volunteer to take over this year? I plan to be the one to run this again next year, but this time, I need sizable help. It's proven impossible for me to do anything moderator-wise with anything this year.

I'll give a lot of instructions and supply any minor help as necessary.

JBBS Rules for 2008

- Everyone requested 3 characters. You only have to write about one of the 3 to fulfill your assignment. If you can fit all three, that's great, but it is not required.
- When you are finished with the story, send the completed story via email to : jbbs.admin+story@gmail.com .Your story should be in the body of the email. If you need to add any formating, please use bracets. [ b ] for bold, and [ i ] for italics. Otherwise, it will mess with the coding.

JBBS is still happening this year. I've run into a recent bout of health problems (including a near coma) and that's why the signups haven't been posted yet - but I'm going to work on putting them up tomorrow.

Just to assure everyone!

So! JBBS signups start in two days. What I want to know from you guys, however, is this:

Before I open it - are there any things I did last year that you think I should have done different? Are there things you think were missing from previous years that you want to be in JBBS now? Any other sorts of comments? Please be constructive about it, I'm asking for real opinions here to make this the best it can be.

I corrected a mistake that had been made last time, that a story was mistitled (Operation:Christmas Spirit had been put up as merely Christmas Spirit - sorry, guys!). If there's any other mistakes I need to correct, or if you want your credit link to go somewhere else than where it's gone, please let me know.

stomach bug despite having flu shot means names of authors will be revealed tomorrow. You can go ahead and post about what you wrote on your journals if you like, but it won't be officially done until tomorrow afternoon. sorry guys, i'd do it if i could, but right now IRL is being most pressing in such an unsatisfactory manner.

Seriously, shouldn't a flu shot prevent this? I demand justice.

Some stories haven't been reviewed yet. I assume a lot of you are on vacation, so you haven't read the story meant for you yet. After all, it's still christmas-time, really. But here's the favour I want to ask. If you've even got a few spare minutes today, go through the archives and even just pick one story you've seen is unreviewed. Read it, leave a review for it, leave some love!

I'll be doing the same later today, when I can think a little better through my medication. I'd like to see every story with at least some kind of response that shows love for it, just to make sure everyone knows that they're appreciated.
