Hi, everyone! Happy talk-like-a-pirate day, first and foremost. I've been in love with M'sieur l'Inspector for quite some time. I'm currently reading the novel right now, actually. It's awesome :D
But anyway, I've brought a little something you all might enjoy:
Title: Know Your Stars - Javert Author: bacon_fiend Rating: G (pff, wimp) Summary: Javert appears on the Know Your Stars sketch on All That. Hilarity ensues.
Link to my journal: http://bacon-fiend.livejournal.com/
Thanks, and enjoy :)

Alo! I must say it is nice to see so many other Javert fans! I have sometimes dabbled in fanfiction myself - under the apelation of Sythar. I can rant for ages about the various nuances of Javert's character, but perhaps I should just post a link to one of my fanfic and stop there, neh? :D http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3470341/1/An_Interlude
I am ecstatic to be here!

| Free Suicides!! |

Alright, here's the deal.
I'm going around the Javert communities, putting up 'Javert's Suicide' by many different artists, to prove that Philip Quast is not a celestial being. Let me say right now that I LIKE Philip Quast, so don't bitch at me, but I don't think he's the best.
So...feast yer eyes on....
Jacques Mercier - French Concept http://www.sendspace.com/file/vgbkvk
Takuya Kon - Japanese Orange (he cackles in this. Love him) http://www.sendspace.com/file/tvfuc4
Elior Yeini - Tel Aviv Broadcast Soundboard (there's a really annoying radio narrator at the end, but...) http://www.sendspace.com/file/jt81c8
Miguel Del Arco - Madrid Highlights (if his Suicide doesn't make you cry (or at least 'awww') then I have bad news : You have no soul.) http://www.sendspace.com/file/rknk7f
Patrick Rocca - Paris Revival http://www.sendspace.com/file/ehbckz
Makrai Pál - Budapest Recording (at the end, he shrieks in manner that Quiqui of MDN described as, and I quote, "like his balls are being cut off". I must concur.) http://www.sendspace.com/file/8hxi2q
More to come by... ------------------- Roger Allam (OLC) Terrence Mann (OBC) Juan Rodó (Buenos Aires) Uwe Kröger (Berlin) (hee!!) Hartwig Rudolz (Duisburg Highlights)

Hey, I just joined not only because I am a fan of the Inspector, but my main reason was this. I have a question that has been bugging ever since the night after I saw Les Miserables, the musical. Does Javert show up in the finale? at all?
'Cause if he doesn't, pooey on the writers and if he does, i'm sorry that I missed it.
Also, wouldn't it be cool if there was a rewrite of the ending where we do see what happens to Javert after his suicide?
a slashy javert/valjean rewritten ending would be even better, but I'm not picky...

Sister purchased a Nintendogs today, and, amusingly enough, named a her first puppy Javert. Since the thing is voice-activated...
"Javert, sit." "Javert, lie down." "Javert, shake." "Javert, you &^%$, listen to me!"
She is planning on getting another one and calling it Valjean. Sadly, since she thinks the male versions are ugly, the poor inspector and his convict will be stuck with two x-chromosomes each.
No, that didn't have any point. Thank you for asking.

Just posting this here because there hasn't been anything for a while. I found this the other day as I was looking at one of Michael McCarthy's websites - from an interview he gave whilst playing Javert at the Palace Theatre in London;
( Recounting a 'bit of fun' one Christmas. )

I would like to introduce a very special friend to you: Werewolf Javert! He hails from a rarely-reviewed, yet wonderfully entertaining fic. It is highly recommended for anyone who likes aniseed, lycanthropy, or *gasp* historical figures. This was only done because more chaprers were promised. *pointed look at latin_cat*

La Vie Ingsoc-The previously mentioned song-fic |

I am so very, very sorry to bring this up, but I noticed something several months ago while watching the TAC. In that version at least, Javert wears a blue, white, and red cummerbund at the barricade, though only the red is actually visible. Something about this seemed odd. Later, as I was scanning a 1984/Rent songfic, I remembered what it was: The Junior Anti-Sex League members wear red sashes. Hysterical laughter commenced immediately.
