Just curious what is everyone doing for Father's Day? I'm not sure what to do. Money is tight and although I would love to have Heather "make something", not sure that is really doable at this age. Suggestions?
How many words is your little one saying?
Karie (who was 16 months on the 25th) uses about 20 words on a regular basis. She repeats everything but she uses about 20 words constantly. She will randomly add a new word weekly. She probably uses more than 20 words but I can think of 20ish off the top of my head.

I started a height chart on the kitchen wall and discovered that the nurse was quite off with Lorelei's measurement. She isn't 33.5"; she's 31.5"! Gah. That's also the same number the nurse came up with at her previous checkup, so she was probably wrong then, too. Hmph.

Jumping into the flow here...
Jack was 19lbs 5ozs and 29 inches at his 15 month appointment last week. He's 2% for weight 5% for height and 20% for his head circumference. He only made it onto the chart at his 1 year appointment and is slowly moving up towards the curve. Whee.
He's running around, learning to climb (short chubby little legs make it a little tricky!) and loves to dance. He likes to use the word "Dada" for most anything that makes him happy or excited but he also says mama (when upset or sad or wanting more attention), 'sisters', 'kiki' (our cat) and 'what's this??' though that comes out more like 'wuzzzzztheessssss'.
We took him to Disney World with my daughters for our first family trip there at the end of March. He loved it even though he got a nasty cold and had a lot of trouble sleeping for the first few days. He was a huge fan of anything with singing and dancing and REALLY loved meeting Mickey Mouse.

It has been a while since we've all updated, let's hear from more of you!
For Kendra, at her 15 month appointment, she was 25lbs 4oz and 30 inches, with a 95th percentile noggin. (forgot to get the actual measurement) I've actually got her in 2T and 3T clothes....the 2T tops BARELY go over her head though, so everything new I'm getting is 3T. That said, she really doesn't seem that big!
Her hair has curled up a TON in the last few months, wasn't that long ago it was entirely straight! She likes to run around, dance, watch Wonder Pets, play on her swingset and talk. Loudly. She has over ten words, and has recently added "NO" and "thank you" to her repertoire. She also loves to blow kisses, which is just the cutest thing EVERRRRR!
For the most part, she's sleeping through the night ok. 9pm-9am on average. She's also just "graduated" up to the next level in Kindermusik! She's such a happy and fun kid, we have a blast with her!
Oh and she's going to be a big sister in October!!!!
( Here are a few pics for ya! )

Don't let the picture fool you. I think Max might be the smallest baby we have in here. At his 15 month check up he was 27.5 inches and 17.5 pounds. He's have complete bloodwork done. The doctor just determined he's naturally very small. He's nowhere near a percentage line. People are constantly amazed at his size. One woman held her nine month old daughter next to him. They were the same size.
( A whole bunch of pictures. )
And here's a video of his dancing.
We got Nola a bed and we put it together Sunday nite.
She loves it. And we were all worried that she would just climb out and play all nite.
But she didn't at all, she went right to sleep and she did again tonite too. And today at nap she was good.
( Here are 2 pictures of her in it. Cutes. )

I just found a bunch of my stuffed animals from when I was growing up. A lot of them are still in good condition and I was wanting to give them to Nat, but they smell kinda musty from being packed away for so long. I was wondering what y'all thought the best way of washing them would be. I can't remember how my mom did it when I was growing up. Thanks in advance!

This day last year, at 7:35pm, she was born. I had known life would never be the same but had no clue how much joy she would bring to us. She is, plain and simple, happy to BE. Such a little joy. At birth she was 7lbs 2oz and 19.25 inches, right now she's around 23 pounds and probably 29 inches, we'll find out for sure tomorrow.
Milestones:
She LOVES to dance and twirl around
She can say mama, dada, boom, nana (for banana), hello, hi, bad (still not sure where she learned this one), love you, her name (kind of), and a few other things escaping my mind right now.
She's got 6 teeth and is working on molars and incisors. I feel bad, those molars have honestly been coming up since Thanksgiving and still haven't broken through.
She's been walking since Thanksgiving and was really steady then had a growth spurt so now she's tripping all over herself again!
Books are her favorites. When we sit to read to her, she pulls the books away and flips the pages herself. This thrills me because I really want to instill in her a love of reading.
Oh yeah, standing on her head is a big thrill for her.
Those are the biggies. She's just so amazing and I am so thankful for her. I just wish she wouldn't grow up so fast!!!
( Two pics, then and now )
Happy birthday to all of the January babies!!!!!

Jack is doing really well. We haven't had his one year doctors appointment yet (his dr. rescheduled because she got to go to the inauguration... lucky duck) but he seems to be catching up to his cousin who is two months older and very average weight and height now that he's eating lots of solids. He is cruising and standing on his own from time to time. He's a sweet happy baby who loves to watch Bunnytown and likes to do a performance piece we call "Angry Man" where he balls his fists up, grimaces his face and goes all Hulk. He's not really angry he just knows we all laugh at it. I'm amazed at how much more aggressive he is than my girls were, not angry or mean at all just aggressive. We're working on learning to give gentle touches rather than the SMACK SMACK SMACK that happens when he gets very happy. On to birthday pictures...
eta: And yes, we took the candy 'rocks' off before we gave it to him. :)

Max had his one year check up last Wednesday. I think he's probably the smallest of this bunch. He was 15 pounds 13 ounces and 26.5 inches. No where near the charts. He has a new doctor right now since we just moved. She's running some blood work, but she suspects that he's just really small. He's reaching all his milestones. He's accidentally standing every once in a while. He's very cautious and doesn't think he can do it. Whenever he catches himself he squats down.
We celebrated Max's birthday a day early. Nothing big, just some cake after dinner with some family friends. He was thrilled by the cake.

Today my baby boy turned 1! It is very bitter sweet to watch him grow up knowing he's my last baby, but I love watching the little boy he's becoming! Here's to another great year of Austin craziness (and listening to Kaylan complain because he keeps stealing her toothbrush...)

Kaiden turned 1 yesterday(Jan. 7th)
Today he had ear tubes put in, it went great and fast. He is doing well just praying they actually work for him!
Dont have much else to say, my husband will be home in 6 weeks from Iraq, we can not wait!
Kaiden has his 1 year appt on Monday. He is around 22lbs.Not walking, just cruising, he can do it but just doesnt care to at all! He is lazy, I am hoping he waits till his daddy gets home because he is a handful just crawling I cant even imagine him walking!
Here is a slideshow I made for his bday for his daddy! You will have to copy and paste the link I cant figure out how to get it right.
