Terrific Teryl: A Birthday Tribute

The 9th November is Teryl's birthday. To commemorate this event a
tribute book is being put together.

The book will contain anything people want to submit, such as images,
messages, quotes. Everyone is invited to contribute and is allowed up
to an A4 page to fill with whatever they like, equally if you just
want to leave a short or fill half a page these will be put together
into the complete book.

Submissions need to be emailed to birthdayteryl@ yahoo.com by the 1st
October 2007. They will then be compiled, bound and presented to Teryl
at Gatecon on the 19th-20th October.

Your page can contain anything you'd like (though anything
inappropriate will be removed) and should be formatted to have a 4cm
margin on the left hand side and 2cm margins on the other three sides.

Please `sign' your page with your name, username and/or nickname at
the bottom right hand corner, it'd be terrible if your hard work was
anonymous!
There is a possibility to add a map where every contributor will be
pinpointed so if you could say where you come from (country + city)
with your submission it would be greatly appreciated. Just mention it
in your mail.

Hi!

I've just joined this community, so apologies for just barging in like this, but I need your help.

Over the last week we (various SG-fans; through groups, LJs, sites, etc...) have been trying to "clean up" the mess which a person (usually) called NightStrider25 (nightstrider) has made. She (at least we have the information it's a "she") steals fics, vids and art from various fandoms, but most prominently from SG-1; then often inserts her own "credits", titles, etc, and uploads works as her own, along with descriptions of "how-I-made-this". NightStrider25 has been banned from DeviantArt last Sunday, but then (after googling her name), it was discovered that she has a YouTube account, as well.

There is one vid at her YouTube page which is most certainly not hers, but noone can find the original vid/vidder. The vid is (supposedly) called "Tribute to Janet", created to the song "Hello" by Evanescence.

theemdash is making a "Thank You for 10 Years!" banner (banner can be viewed here) that's to be signed at Dragoncon next week and then presented to Christopher Judge to bring back to Vancouver.

Now, we know that many people won't be able to attend Dragoncon, but this doesn't mean that you can't be represented there in spirit.

If you want your name added to the banner, please post the name you would like to be listed as here. The name can be your fandom name or your real name, whichever you want to use. :) Come Dragoncon, somebody on the SGOW Track can make the sigs. I'm happy to do it, even. :)
