So i haven't updated since the original post over a year ago... so i thought i should give an update. I've not made much progress at all. Things got out of control for awhile and i forgot about this list, but i've looked it over and at some point i did some rearranging since some of the goals didn't make sense after i graduated from college. But here's my progress.

07:11 pm - Update #4: 101 List
Another month means another update to my 101 list. Sometimes I get disappointed with myself when I read this because I feel like I'm not making progress. Other times I'm proud of myself for just remembering to keep up with it.

11:36 pm - #42: Making progress
With a huge Flickr upload from my hike on Sunday, I broke 150 of my 1001 great photos tonight. I'm starting to get back into it after a couple of months of doing really very little photography at all, so I should be picking up the pace a little. I'm really trying to get out for at least one good shoot a week.

I never actually posted my list here, but I have been keeping it up on Facebook, so I decided to do a little reflection on what I've accomplished so far.

05:20 pm - 101 Update
Since I did that giant update in October, I am not doing a ginormous one now, However I have accomplished a tiny bit since then.

1.    Get a new job - 11/08 Cashier at Meijer, it's not glamorous, but it produces money and Health Benefits!!!!
34.   Purposely audition for a play - 11/08 I technically didn't audition, but I volunteered for the part, so I'm counting my role as Detective Shirley Holmes in Without a Clue (an Original Play written by the Livingston Players - specifically the cast of Without a Clue)
42.   Get my own Bow (and Arrows) - I inherited a bow from a family friend who passed away - so I have my own Recurve! It needs to be cleaned up a bit and it needs a string, but it is in decent shape for having stood in a closet for many years (the best way to kill a bow!)
45.   Hang out at 3 adult fighter practices  - 12/08 (1/3)
46.   Invite 3 people to an SCA event with me  - I have invited Scott to ValDay, he is trying to get it off! (1/3)
51.   Go on a third date - 11/14/08, also had a fourth in December and will be going on another tonight (1-09-09)!

I think my New Year's Resolution is to work harder on the hard parts of my list.
Namely 4, 16-19, 28-29, and 35-37

11:50 am - Update Post
Update to my 101 goals in 1001 days - have let a few things slip but trying to be back on track now...

Things I've completed:
1. Go to the Zoo - Went with K and his children to the Woodland Park Zoo in August. Sucky day, but because of the situation and not because of the Zoo.
2. Go to Northwest Trek - yep, in winter. Added a goal to go in a different season.
3.attend at least 1 play - Leading Ladies, starring my friend M, October 08
6.Go to Disneyland! - July 1-3, 2008
8.Take a road trip. - thanksgiving 08, to California with my dad and bro
9.Take a train trip. - June/July 08, with my cousin to wedding
11.do research on whether iron in my daily vitamin is really good for me - Not as necessary as I'd thought.
13.Read 33 books (at least one book per month, but sometimes I can skip a month and make it up in another) (4/33)
29.Update eyeglass prescription
59.Finalize new website.
60.Buy a computer - new laptop, April 08
76.Watch 33 movies I’ve never seen. (33/33) - this one was easier than I thought.

Things in progress:
4.attend 3 musicals - Sound of Music, Jan 08
7.Have a Girls Night out with my girls at least 3 times a year (1/8) - not quite keeping up with this.
10.Plan 3 parties. - New Years Eve 08/09 (1/3)
12.Help others with their lists (1/3) emailed someone re: financial goal
39.blog about each task completed (13/101)
71.Buy 6 new bras. (2/6)
75.Discover 10 new (to me) musical groups that I like. (4/10)
80.Try my new slow cooker with two different recipes (1/2) - fondue party
81.Try cooking 15 new things I’ve never tried (5/15)
Pad See-Ew
tofu stir fry
Pork Chops! and it worked!
Bean thread noodles
Beer Bread
82.Put up at least 3 art pieces in the living room (2/3) - Yuna silk poster, framed grandma artwork.

goals I've declared failure:
34.avoid buying deodorant with aluminum in it. - I tried to do this, and found that my BO was HORRIBLE! Apparently, I need deodorant/anti-perspirant or I stink, so this isn't an option for me.

My money earning goals have been rebooted for the new year - things happened this year beyond my control and they are starting over.

You can see my full list at the top of the page on my personal journal.
Crossposted to my personal journal and my goals community.

Original List/Post

33 - Italics = working on

23 - bold = done!
5 - strike through = fail
nothing = not tried yet

My list of 101 Things )

So looking at the list, I've finished a few more things, fallen off the bandwagon on others. Have to move some things further out, somethings I need to re-think (money wise), new goals, I've changed a bit. And some things I'm still not going to be able to do until later, but I've still got time and my youngest is now over a year old and able to be without me for looooong periods of time..

11:49 pm - a year later
I'm really happy with what I have achieved so far considering lots of things I've put on this list have been tried before but failed. After doing and completing some things, I just feel like continuing them. Somehow I'm glad I made this list to push myself to do the things I've always been procrastinating.

I'm also super excited about opening my shop. It's been a crazy few weeks trying to settle everything but I'm almost there. I'm glad for the friends who have always been there and keep pushing me because Lords knows I'd probably take another 10 years to do it without them!

This coming year, not only do I hope to strike out more stuff, but I also hope to be the person with the lifestyle I've set a year ago. Here's to another year!

completed: 34

So i have not been paying enough attention to this list or this group, but i consider this year a success. When i started i was a sophomore at the school of visual arts. Now im a junior and i feel like ive made a lot of progress. I still have a lot of focus issues, but i think ive developed an asthetic, learned how to work in new types of mediums, and improved my drawing and painting skills. I got my first apartment and im paying my own rent. Its insane. One of my main goals was to become more social, to some people that know me this maybe suprising, but i think ive grown in this way as well. I've been in therapy for social anxiety and its been helping a lot. I'm also performing a lot an experimenting with new forms of artmaking. Heres the list of things ive completed and an updated list under the cut.

4. Get an apartment - Moved into my first apartment in july. Im living in queens with a friend of mine from high school, hes a total slob but the rent is cheap and the place is huge

6. Jog once a week (weather permitting) - I joined a gym over the summer, and ive lost over 20 lbs! my goal was to do it by my birthday and i did. This time last year i was freaking out about not fitting into my 'fat' jeans and now theyre way too loose on me. All of my jeans are.

40. Be Magenta in at least one performance of rocky horror - I did it! Joined the cast and ive been performing the opening act all summer, and i played Magenta for the first time a week or two ago. it was halfassed and they called me and told me they needed me to perform THAT morning, my first planned performance is next friday.

51. Chalk day- i got a big bag of chalk and took some friends to strawberry fields. By the end of the day it was totally covered and everyone who walked through stopped to draw with us. It was fantastic

54. Try deep fried oreos - OH MY GOD. but i didnt have any milk, which they need

83. Make a new group of friends that has nothing to do with school- The rocky cast has become my second family. I see them more than my real family.

84. Host a really great party- My 20th birthday party was a few weeks ago. It was a macncheese buffet. We finished 6 trays of macncheese, watched zombie movies and got stoned. WIN

90. Find pair of high heels I like and go a day without falling down in them- Got them for 20$ at trash and vaudville. Ive hardly fallen at all

94. Organize/pack up my bedroom in my moms house- Moving out of the house i grew up in was difficut and scary, but i survived just fine.
