.:Chapter 5: Good Mornings:.
A tingling sensation crawled up and down my skin, lulling me out of my, surprisingly comfortable, short sleep. It has been awhile since I've had a fair share of sleep; after the incident, I've failed to pinpoint the difference between sleep and wake ever since my eyesight betrayed me. How useless of me...
The odd sensation continued to plague me, but as stubborn-headed as I am, I did no such movement of showing any sign of interest (or curious) to it. I just laid still on top of my bed, trying to not move as much and trying to stop my eyes from fluttering open, only to see yet a neverending darkness laid infront of me, instead of the usual bursts of morning light.
Suddenly, I heard the soft click of the lock as the door opened, followed by gentle footsteps, each one louder than the other. I could feel a person's presence making their way towards my still form, but who was he?
Yoochun? Yeah, probably.
"Good morning..." A gentle voice sing-songed the greeting out that sounded like lullaby to my ears.
Okay, so this is definitely not Yoochun.
A second ticked by and I felt feather-like fingers make their way up the side of his cheek and then reach his hairline. A heartbeat passed and I then felt those fingers gently carres his hair. Up and down, up and down it went...It's ridicolously gentle feel lurring me to another slumber. I was nearly there...Just a few more strokes and my eyes would surely roll back...Nearly there...Nearly...
When suddenly a shrill tone rang out, tearing the comfortable silence that placed itself in between me and the stranger. The fingers that were deeply entangled in my hair quickly vanished as if it was afraid to be caught doing the deed. I could feel the person quickly retreat away from where I was and headed for the door...
'How rude. Walking away from me like that..'
The stranger hastily tried to take out his ringing phone and cut off the annoying tone that continued to ring out. A second later, a soft 'finally' tumbled down the others lips as he hurriedly flipped the phone open.
"Su? Why are you calling?"
That was all my ears could pick up before the prescence itself vanished as the door swished to a close.
----------------------------------------
"HYUNG!! GOOD MORNING!!"
I lost track of time after the stranger left. I didn't even notice that sleep finally took its toll on me for the second time that day up until a low-toned, blaring voice tore through my peaceful state of mind.
I groaned and sat up, turning my head to where my ears picked up the voice.
"What do you want? It's too early to have somebody screaming right next to me you know..."
A sarcastic gasp was the reply I heard from my way-too-happy-sounding cousin, followed by a whine.
"Hyuuung~ Be happy! C'mon, c'mon! Get up!"
I heard him trail his way towards the area where a window was supposedly at, "Hyung, how come you never open up the curtains? You lazybum.."
And with that, I heard Yoochun yank the curtains apart and sighed contently to himself. For the first time in a long while, I actually felt the warm rays of the sun bathing my skin despite the barrier-like window that stood between my body and the outside world.
"See that? That's what I call a good-looking morning. Of course, proudly presented to you by the one and only Jung Yoochun. Can you see it Yunho-hyung? The sun's really shiny and yellow today and the sky's really blue. The clouds look like hanging white cotton candy - "
"I'm blind Yoochun. Blind, do you hear me? I can't just see things like you do -"
"- But you can still feel...Right?" Another voice cut in.
I frowned and turned my head to where I heard the voice. My eyebrow arched up in an arrogantic manner that demanded a proper answer to an unasked question.
"And who do you think you are? Cutting my sentence like that?" I asked coldly.
A warm chuckle, "It's not very nice to forget your acquaintances you know. Especially not the ones that you'll be spending quite some time with in the near future. If you really don't remember, it's Jaejoong. Really now Yunho-shii, I though you had more manners than that..."
I growled at Jaejoong's response. Not only did he used a disrespectful tone of voice at someone like me, he also dared to call me by my name. The nerve of this guy...
Yoochun, on the other hand, burst out laughing at Jaejoong's reply and, to my dismay, heartedly applauded in glee, "Oh! Good one Jaejoong-hyung! Good one!"
I heard Jaejoong chuckle in response and replied, "Aha. Thank you, thank you, thank you..."
"Shut up. Both of you." I nonchalantly demanded.
I felt Jaejoong's gaze on me and I, oddly enough, also felt a warm smile spreading across his face, "Well, good morning to you too."
My frown dropped as the words good and morning reached my ears. They sounded so familliar and warm that it sent chills down my spine. Why was it that Jaejoong's simple 'good morning' sounded like the stranger's earlier full-of-affection greeting? Could it be that this annoying fellow by the name of Jaejoong and the gentle stranger from earlier are the same? I could only shiver at the somewhat chilling thought...But then again, there really is nothing wrong with that.....Right? So what if he was a little more affectionate towards me earlier? It doesn't really mean anything...Unless...Unless he's -
"Hey Yunho-shii, do you want to go out to the park and play?"
I snapped my attention towards Jaejoong. My expression escorted yet another arch of an eyebrow,
"What did you just say?"
"I asked if you wanted to get out of this damn room of yours for once and play outside. The weather's really nice today and maybe, just maybe, it'll affect your mood. I'm taking my chances with that though...."
Heartoffire's Comeback: I'm sorry for such a short chapter ><" *Squeel* I seriously am loving Jaejoong in this. He's so pinchable! *flails* Anyway! Yes, I'm perfectly aware that I really haven't paid attention to this fic but I'm determined to change that this month! I ACTUALLY THINK MY MUSE IS BACK IN TOWN. WOOOPA! xDD~ So, to my readers out there (if I still have some ><") keep watching for new updates! ^^
