Lost Fic - Extreme Long Shot

Okay here is an ultamit challange....

Many years ago I read a story where Daniel was struck with encephalitis and/or meningitistis. In fact I'm pretty sure it was HSV encephalitis meningitistis. He had to deal with lost of some memories, balance, etc. I remember this because my son contracted the same disease. I don't remember if it was slash or not. Any help would be most appreciated.

I've been very out of the internet loop for a few years! Not only do I find out that Anais has purged the internet of Diary of Dr. Jackson, but that she had written a sequel!! And they're both gone!! **cries**

Does anyone happen to have a backup copy of the sequel? I have the original diary all printed out, but obviously never saw the sequel. Best slash fic I'd ever read. Well, best Stargate fic I'd ever read, period! Am so sad that it's gone...

Any ideas? **hopeful eyes**

Daniel glanced at the figure in his doorway and sighed. He really should have thought about the ramifications of giving Jack a key to his apartment, not long after Sha’re died. It wasn’t so much that Jack abused the privilege as that he seemed to have an appalling instinct for turning up at the most inconvenient times.

“Hi, Jack, how are you? Surviving your downtime, I see.”

Jack gave him a wave and strolled further into the apartment, rocking back and forth on his toes as he regarded the pile of books, notes, magazines, and other scholarly mess which surrounded Daniel’s little clear sitting space on the floor.

“You’re clearly not,” the colonel smirked. “What happened in here, Goa’uld attack?”

Daniel leaned back on his hands and looked up at Jack with raised eyebrows. “I’m having fun, Jack. Or at least I was. There were no ribbon devices, flash grenades, or glowing eyes involved.”

fic search: Looking for H/C fics or rec list of H/C fics

I usually avoid the hurt/comfort genera like the plague, but I'm oddly in the mood to read Jack/Daniel pairing or just friendship H/C. Is there a rec list floating around for this?

What are the must-read hurt-comforts for Jack/Daniel? Like I've said, I haven't read too many, but I've seen them around and usually avoid them when they're labeled so in the warnings. Now that I'm purposely looking for them, I have no idea where to look! Thanks!

ETA: I'm looking for them because I've just read a bunch of way older posts about how Jack and Daniel aren't even friends or barely tolerate each other with "proof" given from episodes. I guess it's got me in a grumbly mood.

I wanted to request a fic. Has anyone read a fic that happens right after the episode Light? Or I think its called Light... The one where they go to a planet that has a really pretty light and they can't leave because they start wanting to commit suicide? I was just wondering if there were any relationship starters there? Jack/Daniel first times. I've been looking and I can't seem to find any.

Again, I am sorry if this isn't supposed to be here or not.

I just joined this group even though I have been into this pairing for about three years now XD I don't have much time for it anymore and it really sucks. Real life just seems to get in the way.
