I am pregnant shattered and bored! I would dearly love to loose myself totally in some really long jack/Daniel fics. No real preferences. i have read the Annuaki (sp?) series and its sequel.

Hmm, how about:

Dare to Breathe by The Grrrl. Jack and Daniel are trapped together on an alien world.

The "A Curse and a Blessing" series that begins with Prodigal Son by Biblio. Jack and Daniel with Jack's family. Quite funny.

What is Essential by Babs and JoaG. Jack is murdered in front of Daniel (but all is not what it seems- don't worry).

Okay, so I don't know if I have any super long fics, but I looked into my favourites folder for you, and I found five Jack/Daniel ones that I hope you'll like.

1. Accidents and Understandings by Biblio: http://www.jd-divas.com/biblio/a&u01.shtml
- This one actually is fairly long. It's also funny, hot, and extremely well written. There's even a little bit of the Quantum Mirror in there. My favourite part is the piece at the very beginning where Jack and Daniel are stuck in the cave in. She does such a great inner-Jack voice. I laughed myself to tears. Great read.

2. Complications by Darcy: http://www.area52hkh.net/asd/darcy/complications.php
- Let me just absolutely GUSH over this fic. Though, to be fair, I've always just loved AUs, so I'm biased. So this is an AU where jack is a minor league veteran baseball player who gets a locker next to rookie Daniel. Jack becomes enamored of the archaeologist/pitcher and despite some fights and misunderstandings they eventually come together to have a beautiful life together. Fantastic story.

3. Seizing the Day by the Horns by chelle: http://chelle.slashcity.org/stargate/seizing.shtml
- So this is just a short story that's really more PWP than anything, but it's super sweet and loving, and light-hearted. Also hot. This one always makes me happy

4. Learning to Say Goodbye by Mystic: http://www.area52hkh.net/asm/mystic/learning.php
- Another great AU where the Stargate Program doesn't exist and a mourning Jack can't get over his guilt and grief for Charlie, so he leaves Sarah and disappears, until he meets Daniel (who had been laughed out of academia and is tutoring high school students for minimum wage) two years later as a homeless person. Great story and happy ending.

5. Hold the Darkness and Stay the Night by paian: http://paian.livejournal.com/76455.html?style=mine
- Missing scene from Lost City, Part 1. Another sweet and loving PWP. totally worth reading

Okay, so I know these aren't all epic, but they're all super great stories, so I hope you enjoy them. Good luck with not being bored!

These are some long fics by Sideburns--fics I love to re-read and cry over although I will say they all have happy endings. It's the getting to the ending that's the emotional rollercoaster. I recommend tissues for all of them, but especially My Country and Long and Winding.

oh curl up with [info]janedavitt's Buried Dreams, a fun-tastic story where Mac meets a young sulky, hot, sexy Daniel Jackson on a dig in Egypt. Actually, any and all of Jane's stories are wonderful!

And, if you go to my del.icio.us, you will find some hard-to-locate gems under the wayback tag.
