Just a friendly reminder that voting for prompt 1 is still open HERE. We still only have two votes, so if you haven't done so, please do so!
Also, I've decided that once this contest comes to a close, I am going to make this a posting community again. As much as I wanted to, this type of writing isn't very popular to make it on it's own in this fandom.
I will still post random challenges/prompts for those interested evry once in a while, and may even do an occasional contest, but there will be no more weekly/bi-weekly contests.
So, as of now, this comm is solely a posting community for your poems in the IY fandom.

I'm sorry this took so long. A lot of my communities are going monthly, and I didn't want all the due dates to be so close together.
I am going to try to give 3 different prompts each month, so you have a variety to choose from. You can use all three in your fic if you like, or you can just use one.
Anwywho, without further ado, I give you the first prompts:
Sweet
Lips
Kiss
You can interpret how you like. As this is poetry, I am not going to give a word count, and there never will be one unless people abuse the rule.
Remember, this is a POETRY contest, not oneshot or drabble. You can write this in any style of poetry whether it be with a rhyming scheme, a haiku, free verse etc. Most contests will be this way, unless I ask specifically for a certain style.
Your due date is one month from today on July 7th at 11:59pm EST. Have fun, and I can't wait to see your entries!

Alrighty! After the recent poll, several people have agreed upon the revival of this comm and monthly contests.
Our grand re-opening will be June 1st, at which time a new prompt will be put up, and perhaps I may have a new layout by then as well.

Hey everyone!! minakiwi has given me ownership of this comm as she no longer has the time for it. I'm sure most of you have seen me elsewhere as I own and co-mod several other IY comms, and if you haven't then hello, I look forward to meeting you!
I know it has been pretty dead over here for a while, but I'd love to see this place back up and running!
And so I ask to you members, any suggestions? Would you like to go back to monthly contests? Only the occassional contest and leave this as an archive? Have prompts and possibly banners, but no contest?

Voting deadline came and went, and we only had two total votes ... for different choices, natch!
Here is my quandry: Do we as a community even want to vote for the poems? Would it be enough to simply have the themes and let the creativity flow?
I would love any feedback on this matter!
If we choose to simply not vote, I will make "blanket" banners each month, one per theme and anyone that chooses to write a poem can have a goodie.
