About.about. + This community is dedicated to creating fanfic challenges for the Inuyasha anime and manga series. It will be a fun and (hopefully) lively community featuring creative themes and fair, impartial counting of votes. .please note. + This is a community for mature people. You don't have to be over 18, but you do have to act like an adult. Being an adult means comprehending that not everyone will like your fic. Similarly, not everyone will agree with you about your OTP. If you can't handle people not sharing your opinion and can't show respect to others for theirs, this likely isn't going to be a fun place for you. THE RULES 1. Only fics directly related to this community (i.e., as a result of an official contest) may be posted here. You may provide a link within a submission post to where non-contest writing is located, however. 2. Pimping of other communities and/or journals is only allowed if it pertains or relates to Inuyasha in some way. Advertising your IY-icon journal is fine; promoting a Saiyuki or Utena community is not. 3. All entries must be behind an lj-cut, spell-checked and have a reasonable attempt at proper grammar and punctuation. Fics that hurt the eyeballs of those attempting to read them because of poor English will be disqualified, after a thorough scolding. 4. All ratings, genre, pairings, characters, including original or those not featured in the manga (ie: Sessmom, Kagome's father, etc) are welcome. 5. Free expression is encouraged. If you post a fic here, expect that you might be receiving constructive criticism (i.e., we don't insist upon only positive, "gushing" reviews). However, flames are not permitted. Flames will be deleted and flamers banned. 6. The weekly challenges go in cycles of three: drabbles of 250 words maximum, short fics of 250 words minimum, and lastly, fics of free word length. A new theme challenge will be posted each Wednesday. Each "week" lasts from Wednesday to the following Tuesday. On Wednesday as well, a voting post will go up. 7. You may vote for yourself, because we know you want to. But using multiple accounts and getting your flunkies to pad the vote so you win sucks, and perhaps will be castigated, berated, pointed to and laughed at accordingly. 8. All entries should contain the various elements of a header, indicated below. 9. Please submit only one entry per theme. 10. Statement on Plagiarism: It's a very bad thing, and please don't do it. If you suspect plagiarism, please send the Mod ( ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif){kind=small} dawnsama) a private message. Please provide all the relevant links, and lay out your case. dawnsama will investigate. If there is sufficient proof, then the Mod will remove the plagiarizing entry from the contest, and the author will be banned for a time period to be determined.HEADERS All entries should contain the following: 1. Title. Because, duh. 2. Word length. But honestly, we're really quite lazy and won't be checking, so try and be honest, mkay? 3. Rating. Believe it or not, some people don't like reading smut. We know, we don't understand it either. But there you go. 4. Squicks, so the faint of heart are warned before scorching their fragile retinas. The possibly squicksome consists of but is not confined to: slash/yaoi, femmeslash/yuri, character death, necrophilia, R and NC17 ratings, underage nookie, noncon, excessive schmoop/fluff, etc. 5.
