its_a_tqc_xmas was created with the sole intent of the TQC gift exchange Extravaganza! Or something.
It is exclusively for members of TQC, as you must be a member prior to joining this community. Membership is moderated.

G E N E R A L R U L E S :
--- 18 and over BEFORE Christmas.
--- Play at your own risk. Meaning,If your Santa doesn't come through for you, we'll give you their username, and you can follow up with them. How you choose to do that is between you too. Just remember, crying isn't sexy.
--- By signing up you agree to send a gift of $15 dollars or less in value to another member ofits_a_tqc_xmas. The $15 is in YOUR currency, whatever it may be. Who that person will be has yet to be determined.
--- You are to choose to be a part of either the Christmas card exchange or the small gift exchange.
--- We will have a specific post with instructions on where to send your information. Please do NOT make a separate post for it.
--- You can post on just about anything related to the exchange. However, please refrain from being a jackass if you don’t like something. If you have an issue, please be adult about it.
---Sign-ups CLOSE on November 10, 2007. We, the mods will randomly pick out exchange partners for everyone participating and you will receive an email with your giftee's information (everything they filled out on the form) within a week of that day.
-- You go buy or make whatever presents you want to send to your person. The SPENDING CAP is $15, excluding shipping. That means $15 or less, so go crazy and be creative. Should you choose to go over that, that’s all on you. Don’t expect the same in return. Send your giftee the present BEFORE CHRISTMAS, so probably before December 15th or so would be best.
---There should be No International Shipping. People should stay within countries/regions. (It's $30 to send a box to Oz or NZ from the USA and Canada.)
---Tracking is REQUIRED. In the US, please use Delivery Confirmation. In other countries, please check with your post office to see what is available. Whatever you use, please send the tracking number to the mods as soon as your package has been sent.
---Intangibles are a great way to take part if you can't afford to ship a package. Extra userpics, 2 months of paid time, a small donation on your behalf to a charity, and gift certificates. (If you go this route, please notify, the mods. We will be looking for your tracking number email otherwise.)
--- Once you’ve received your gift or card, please post to the community about it! Pictures are awesome, but the post lets us your gifter know how much you appreciated it. (They also let us confirm that YOU received it.)

--- Be nice and don't start trouble (aka: trolling). But seriously, we're an offshoot of TQC. If it happens it happens. Just try and play nice or one of us will just freeze replies

--- Please try to refrain from advertising your community in here. That's not what the group is for, and is completely inappropriate when the community is not postcard related or is basically a clone of this community. If you have a really awesome swap- or postcard-themed community that you think we might like, leave me a comment or send me an email and ask if it would be okay to make a post about it.
--- No "spam" posts -- do not post links to get a free iPod, to unrelated eBay auctions, etc.
Posted photos must be relevent to the community. Large photos (over 450 pixels either direction) or numerous photos should be placed under a lj-cut tag .You may also include a link to an off-LiveJournal photo album instead of posting photos inline.
