AboutIron trash is a friendly competition ala "Iron Chef" where competitors try to create the trashiest meal possible with a certain Secret Ingredient.
VOTING:
Every member of the community is an Official Iron Trash Judge, and should award points to each dish as they see fit.
Ten Points in each category of:
1. Creativity
2. Presentation
3. Over-All Trashiness for a grand total of up to 30 points.
4. Additional points: up to 10 BONUS points for YUM FACTOR
Additional Information:
If you think someone has made an entry that is completely inedible, then give them zero Yum Factor points; if it's something that makes you salivate and you'll definitely be trying it on your own then by all means give it the full 10!
Yum Factor points will be counted separately from the actual 30 Trashy Points.
IF THE TRASHIEST DISH IS NOT ALSO THE YUMMIEST DISH, THEN THE HONORS OF THAT BATTLE'S IRON TRASH WINNER WILL BE SPLIT EVENLY BETWEEN THE TWO DISHES
TIME FRAME:
Competition begins when there are at least five (5) competitors. Once there are 5 people competing – the Deadline for the battle will be set within a time period of three (3) days.
For example:
Let's say that it's Monday the 1st of Octembuary, and it is announced that the current battle is BATTLE: KETCHUP. People go to their kitchens, they make tasty Ketchup meals and post the pictures... by Octembuary 7th we've only got 4 entries. So the Battle goes on. Finally, on Octembuary 9th, we've got 5 entries! Our Beloved Moderator makes a post to the community saying "WE HAVE 5 ENTRIES! Deadline for Battle: Ketchup has now been set for Octembuary 12th! if you've got an idea for Battle: Ketchup that you've been wanting to make, NOW IS THE TIME!!!" Then, on Octembuary 12th, our beloved Moderator will make his legendary "Battle Round-Up Post" with hot-links to all the entries in Battle: Ketchup and urge everybody to go vote. And on Octembuary 13th, the winner(s) of Battle: Ketchup will be announced for all to celebrate! Later that same day, the new battle will be declared.
Additional Notes:
This means that some battle may go by in as little as 3 days; it also means that we may have "Community Killer" Battles that drag on for a month at a time waiting for somebody to attempt 5 dishes. Me, I kinda think it's kinda cool :)
POLITENESS POLICY:
We will also be enforcing a semi-strict "No Snark" policy in this community from here on out, "3 strikes & you are out" policy. If you're making hurtful comments with no other intent than to try and hurt somebody's feelings? That's an Iron trash no-no and you WILL get banned.
